Love Burggraf's Ace Hardware!
Recently moved to an apartment located just blocks away from here and I can't tell you how many times I've had to stop in. I've had to stop in for random sized screws, batteries, bolts and hardware. Also went to have 6 keys made for various things, which only came to about $24 and was way better than the $50-70 some wanted to charge me. They had an issue copying one key for padlock; however, they were able to find a similar padlock that we used and had an additional key made for that at the same time. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable, which is perfect for people as mechanically challenged as myself.

Was just there tonight. In a bind traveling with hockey team and forgot regulator for blackstone grill, which has a fitting you can’t find anywhere and can only be ordered online from blackstone. Whole team was waiting to eat and they let us take one off display model and they ordered the replacement for themselves. No other big retail store in Duluth would do something like that. Went above and beyond to help. Hopefully the kid who did that for us doesn’t get in trouble for going out of the box to help us. Big thanks to him.

Great bbq section. Clean store. Friendly staff even though they seemed to lack knowledge, but I think I was expecting to much. Will go back and would recommend. Truly a very nice store.

Ace hardware is the only place for to shop for certain items. There is always someone there asking if I need any help, and when I have a question, they always know where things are and can answer my questions. This is why I dont like Menards. Never any help, and when I do get some, rarely do they have an answer.

I have stopped here a few times. The last time, I really looked around. Who knew that there was so much cool stuff in the store. I cant wait to go back. The staff are considerate and know their stuff. Highly recommend!

Overall, a bunch of of kind and helpful folk, an easy 5-stars for basically everyone working. Unfortunately, management s policies treat customers like thieves and some of the employees follow this example to rather unfortunate ends. This issue is made more stark by the joke of a bike rack management doesn t care about theft or property crime, as long as it happens to their customers instead of to them. I ve been here plenty of times, but I ll just order online in the future. Cheers to the Burggrafs and take care.

Called, asked if they cut keys. They said yes. When I arrived with my own key blanks, they refused to cut them. Said that I had to buy the blanks from them. Won t be back. Thanks.

I came in here to buy some replacement glass for a window, but the price of getting it installed and glazed was so reasonable that I had them do that instead. Tim was super nice and had my window fixed up in about an hour. Big thank you to Burggrafs!

Really helpful! Got almost everything I needed. Went for Plexiglass for our window so we could put the A/C in today and they cut the Plexiglass to size for me. Took about 10ish minutes. Front end associate was very helpful as well.

Great place with open bins of bolts washers or anything of that nature so you can dig or build whatever you need to.... Closest thing to closed central sales you going to find in Duluth.

Of course prices ard going tight be a little bit higher than the bigger hardware stores, but Ace always has a few things you can not find in larger stores - i.e. brass draft guards for the doors. What makes this store nice is the super friendly and patient employees. They attend to your needs and find what you are looking for. Its very convenient if you live in the East Hillside if Duluth & close to Walgreens, Super One, & Great Harvest Breads, so you can make your trip more efficeint.

I appreciated the knowledge of the employees. Even though they didnt have a bolt that I was after the man who helped me still told me what type of bolt it was so Id possibly be able to find it elsewhere which is far beyond customer satisfaction. I definitely recommend doing business here if your in need of visiting a hardware store.

Went there to buy a padlock for the gym. A helpful employee ask if he could help and I told him I was looking for padlocks. He directed me to the incorrect aisle and then when I was couldnt find it he came over and showed me the correct aisle. I saw that they were locked in place. He asked if I wanted to purchase one. I said well of course he said well theyre locked and I said I can see that. He said well I can unlock it for you... I said what do you think Im doing here? and I left without buying the lock... they had $6 locks locked up so you couldnt buy them without an employee unlocking the lock.... ridiculous.

Outstanding locally owned joint that has great service and knowledgeable people. Yes you will pay more here but it wont take you 30 minutes to find what youre looking for and another 30 minutes to check out. So what Im saying is time is money and this place helps you save time.

Ace has a good selection of home improvement items and this store is no different. Prices are competitive and its location is convenient for people who live in downtown Duluth that dont want to drive up to the hill to the box stores. I found the associates there are fairly helpful but some are younger and lack a little bit of knowledge, motivation, or human interaction when it comes to serving customers.

Insanely good selection and pretty helpful staff. If you want to support a bit more local instead of going to a Walmart, pick this place. Ive been able to finish a couple minor house projects in a pinch thanks to what they have available.

The employees here are so nice! Always cheerful and willing to help with small repairs, sometimes even free of charge. Today, an ACE hardware staff member replaced two screws that were missing in an appliance I brought in and did not charge me. I go whenever I can to support the business!

Ethan went out of his way to provide OUTSTANDING customer service this weekend when I had a pipe burst. He was friendly and knowledgeable and went out of his way to provide curbside service for me in sub-zero temps multiple times as I came back for new plumbing parts. I went in to get supplies to build a tiger enclosure. They were helpful in suggesting I use better fencing than chicken wire, but being on a budget (tigers are expensive)... I simply doubled up on chicken wire. After Ive sold enough baby tiger cubs then ill get the heavy duty stuff, they also sold me a trash can for the raw meat it locks so me kids cant get covered in meat juice. So thanks again to the helpful staff!
