My partner and stopped at Shoprite in Rockaway today and found the most repulsive team working at the Seafood Section. Excuses were that they cannot reach into the tank and that the prices of bigger lobsters were more expensive. As if they were going to pay for them. After we refuse the lobsters, 🦞 as we walked away, they were complaining about us. Shame on you two ladies! We are the customers and should be allowed to purchase what we want not what you want to sell us.

Afterward, we took a trip to the Shoprite in Wharton and let this picture tell the rest of the story. Just like we like our lobsters with no explanation of cost and meat in them!

I visited this store approximately 11:30 at night. It was cool that it was the 1st 24 hour shoprite I've ever been to. They had a Dunkin' donuts kiosk that was closed at the time. The place was very clean and Spacious. I had interactions with probably 8 different employees And they were all friendly. Considering the inflation situation we are in I would also say that the prices were still reasonable. The bathroom was clean. I particularly enjoyed the large section of nuts, cheeses and specialty items. If this was in my neighborhood I would probably make it my new Favorite shoprite. The motorized shopping carts were also in great condition.

This one lady name Barbara was giving me and my family nasty attitude, my parent were giving her the coupon to the things that we are buying , and she started to get nasty , rolling her eyes and raising her voice at us, my parent didn’t understand her that much so the lady said “ you know what , I’m gonna get someone because you clearly don’t understanding what I’m saying right now “. That is unacceptable and very disrespectful. If you ever go to checkout , don’t ever get a lady that name with Barbara .

3rd time now. Whether I do quick pick at deli or order at kiosk. If I’m asking or ordering cheddar cheese they keep packaging American cheese in it. Not sure if it’s a scam because of price difference or no one knows what cheddar cheese is.

ShopRite is now following all the other greedy companies out there. The store brand USED to be MUCH cheaper than comparable name products but now they're the same and, in too many cases, MORE than name brands. SHAME ON YOU FOR GOUGING!

ShopRite usually has the best prices and really good selection. I've been coming to this ShopRite or the old ShopRite that was located down the road for my entire life. It's always been a great place to food shop. Staff has always been friendly if there's a problem with an item being rung up incorrectly or various other problem.
To be completely honest there's a few items ShopRite doesn't carry that I need to get elsewhere but this is exceedingly rare.
They constantly have new products and always keep competitive on price

This place is a joke. Has a sign that says "three 24 pack of Poland springs is $12 with shoprite plus card and digital coupon." Yet when you look for the coupon, it doesn't exist.

So basically they want you to pick up the waters, go to the front and when you find out there's no coupon( EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A SIGN IN FRONT OF THE WATER SECTION SAYING THERES A DISCOUNT), they hope that you say "forget it, I'll just grab it anyway." Grimey techniques to trick people, never coming here again.

Overwhelming and crowded. The security man is rude, actually touched me with his hands. I'm the wife of a Judge, would never steal. But he felt the need the peek in my stuff, going so far as to touch me. Very offended and rarely shop here.
Update, nothings changed.
The employees are awesome, I must say. Managers, stock, cashiers etc.

This place is not for just regular shopping it's open all night so if you do rideshare there a chance to pick up bags and items for a delivery and be able to send it. In most cities there are no 24 hours shop rites so this is the one to go to. I did a quick shop in and out.

I shop here regularly and have done so since 1997. Today I want to compliment their prepared foods. We have relied on them for the past 2 years because of illness and enjoy their soups and cooked chicken. We also have started to pick up items like mashed potatoes or roasted veggies. These are a great convenience and far better than buying a fast food meal.

Amazing service. I was waiting on line and the manager Bre walked up to me and made sure I was taken care of right away. She brought me to the self checkout and scanned all my items for me. She also made sure other people on line were aware of open registers. So nice to be taken care of 8am on a Saturday. This place absolutely slaps! Honestly, I’d be hard pressed to find a better ShopRite in the state of New Jersey. They have just about everything you need and they never close. The staff is always in a good mood and people watching is always top notch. No place better to do your late night shopping.

Purchased a vase of Flowers for Monders Day at ShopRite $39.00
After two days they were wilting and dying. I did return the dead flowers for a store credit. I will never purchase flowers

I love this Shop Rite. In general, I like most Shop Rites and usually get my groceries here. Today was the first time I had any issue (a minor problem that a discount didn't come off my receipt) and customer service was so helpful. They made it right and did it quickly without hassle. Last time I will ever shop at this disgusting store. Bought low salt ham and it was slimey. And the turkey had some mold on it like seriously do these people even pay attention to what they put out. Staying away from this place and will stick to their Wharton location which I have never had any issues. Stay away from this place or else you will get a very nasty case of food poisoning.

ShopRite of Rockaway is very expansive now with much bigger departments. The isles are wider, and the employees are very helpful. I have to give a Big shout-out to the Bakery dept! Their cakes your order are as tasty and beautiful as the old fashioned town bakeries we used to have! 5 Stars!!! I also have to say their bags they sell at 33cents are the perfect size grocery bag and very strong and stretchy!! They've added more self checkouts that have bigger space to work on which is a blessing!! We want to give a Big shout out to the Manager Mario, who is always right there to help, he knows every single isle and what's in it or if it can be ordered and always has the Best Attitude! Love just running into him!

This has been my neighborhood supermarket for over 20 years, and generally have had any complaints or issues with the Rockaway store....
I ride in with the Senior shuttle each Tuesday arriving at about 9 am. Why the heck are the men and women's bathrooms always closed at the peak of morning shopping. This is a 24 hour store. Clean when the place is not at a high capacity. It's not " rocket science " . Open the bathrooms during peak hours...!

I tried SR Rockaway's catering service for a holiday party and I have to commend them for their excellent food, service, and ample portions. The fruit tray was ripe & fresh. Eric was organized and provided heating instructions that were easy to follow with all the different trays with different timings. Thanks to Eric and the team, the dinner party was a success with their help and I would definitely use them again.

Este shoprite es 24hrs. Tiene mucha variedad de cosas que no encuentras en otros mercados como el queso Parmigiano Regianno y mil otros quesos de muchas marcas y tipos diferentes. El área de pasteles, galletas y pan es enorme también, tienen un area de puras nueces y semillas, farmacia, el sushi está con promoción todos los días, el area de maquillaje también es muy variado, encuentras area de flores, regalos, globos, plantas, de todo ! Me encanta shoprite y más este que es 24 hrs y podemos ir tranquilamente en la noche cuando no hay tanta gente. Hay cajeros y areas donde tu puedes hacerlo solo, siempre hay alguien ayudando por si algo se traba. (En el estacionamiento vimos a unos venaditos).

This is my go-to grocery store. The store is very clean, and I always find the fresh fruits and vegetables that I am looking for. The prices on most items are competitive, and there are helpful specials and coupons each week. I can stock up on my usual buys when they are on sale. The meat and dairy departments are well-stocked with a wide variety of choices. Usually I can check out without waiting in line.

We bought a turkey Wednesday before Thanksgiving , it's been frozen since . I took it out of the freezer and put it in the fridge 3 days ago to thaw . Just opened it and one wing is black and it smells , shop rite management will NOT exchange it .
Great customer service.
Purchase with caution !
P.S. forgot to mention that this was purchased , not a free one with the $400.00 special for Thanksgiving .
This is our third time getting bad poultry at shop rite . Stinky rotten poultry .

I simply asked if I could park my cart for a few minutes whilst I go to the bathroom. The lady who was wearing a black vest and appeared to be of Indian descent had rudely grabbed my cart and put my cart in the middle of the hallway of the cashier’s stations. I don’t know if I caught her at the wrong time but I’ve been go to this shop-rite for years and this is the first time I’ve left angry.

Be prepared for too few cashiers forcing you to use self serve check out. SR's service has really declined in the last year and especially with the no bag law. The lines for the cashiers were very long, well into the main aisle, with one cashier walking about like she was lost, before returning to her cash register. There was no sense of urgency in whatever she was doing as the lines grew. I then reluctantly, with no pay for doing their job, went to self serv. I rang up the first item for the computer to say customer service requested. I waited, and waited, and waited. No one was in the area. After waiting far longer then should be expected I left the items there and walked out. They have no sense that a customers time is important and their service brings people back. The service is getting less and less where I have no reason to shop them. If i am going to check myself out, use my own bags, and bag my items, I expect payment as a contractor. And I am not cheap!
