The atmosphere is spacious and comfortable enough to have a conversation. The interior inside is extremely beautiful and articulate placed perfectly.

We came from Florida to New York for vacation and visited our cousin in New Jersey, who recommended a few restaurants for lunch. He highly recommended Rancho Mateo, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! The restaurant is spacious and very clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Our waiter, Sebastian, did a fantastic job. He was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us choose our appetizers. His recommendation of the tostones with shrimp was spot on—absolutely scrumptious!

For our main course, we ordered the parrilla for 2-3 people, and it was both delicious and generously portioned. In fact, it could easily serve more than three people. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Rancho Mateo and would definitely recommend it!

I actually loved the food. La punta de anca was sooooooo juicy and flavorful.
I got lemonade and a banana con queso. Lol
Everything tasted great.
The only problem I had is that the music was waaaaay too loud and suddenly not so loud and again and again.
It was hard for me to talk with my friend so that was that.
The service was good as well.

The food was great! We had the American breakfast and the típico one. The fried eggs were a bit oily but on point. The coffee was also great. Adriana was very helpful and a good server. I highly recommend this place for breakfast plus it has good atmosphere.

I've been to many Colombian restaurants, but this one takes the prize. The food is absolutely top quality, the right texture, the tenderness, and the flavor it just all hits you perfectly. The service was amazing. They treat their customers with the utmost respect. The atmosphere was perfect. Great music. Everything was clean and organized. I can't wait for the next time that I visit here it is definitely a must place to visit.

My daughter now lives in walking distance of this restaurant so she goes here often.
I was visiting and she couldn’t wait to take me.

This is one of the best Colombian restaurants I’ve been in the past few years. We walked in and were greeted warmly and seated fast.

We didn’t know what we wanted but
the waitress was very patient and came back often to check on us as we looked at everything on the menu.

There was a slight language barrier but overall not a problem.

The place is huge and a seat groups with no problem. There are TVs everywhere and I think it’s a great place to watch sports.
I had the Entrana Mateo which has steak, shrimp, mushrooms, onions, and cheese.
My steak was cooked amazingly well.

The only problem with the dish was the amount of grease in the plate. It was a lot of greaser the bottom . The Rancho colada tasted so good.

My daughter’s chicken and cream sauce was even better than mine.

The night we were there they had a karaoke, good night. It was very nice and the sound system was really good.
I would definitely go back!

The food Is delicious but sometimes salty. It's quiet and laid back midweek - except for when there's a Colombia soccer game. Weekends it is crazy and both food & service take a hit. Not the fault of the workers, the restaurant just gets super busy. Live music and lots of events.

Los managers de este lugar necesitan más entrenamiento y tacto con los empleados, la distribución que otorgan los managers a los meseros está muy mal!!! Los meseros(as) tratan lo mejor para atención a los clientes pero la manager mujer se ve que es muy mal administrando, los tragos/cocktails son jugo hay que pedir un shot para poder sabotear, el chef no debe ser un chef profesional la comida le falta demasiado para ser un plato de restaurante. Primera y última vez en este lugar si pudiera dar 0 como calificación los managers les daría un -100

The culinary experience at Rancho Mateo was truly exceptional. Every dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing the rich flavors of Colombian cuisine. I savored the best salmon I've had in years, while my wife thoroughly enjoyed her "pollo a la parrilla" (grilled chicken). The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the caramel cheesecake – an absolute masterpiece that left us craving more.

Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was impeccable. The staff demonstrated efficiency and courtesy throughout our visit, ensuring our anniversary dinner was memorable.

Rancho Mateo offers convenient valet parking, which is complimentary (tips are appreciated). For those with a sweet tooth, the on-site bakery is a treasure trove of traditional Colombian pastries, perfect for taking home a taste of South America.

I enjoy going to Rancho Mateo, it is very convenient that they have valet parking as the local area is a difficult place to find street parking. They make a variation of steaks that are all Tasty, they have good appetizers and dinner dishes. We personally love their soups. They do not dissapoint! They also have several night's of live 🎶 Music. The atmosphere is very pleasant and this is why I continue to return. The bar area is really big and a beautiful focal point when it comes to decor. It is a large Dining area, therefore there is rarely a waiting time. It can accommodate small as well as Large groups. It is also convienient for Late night dinners. As they are there past most restaurants hours, closing the kitchen on the weekends past Midnight, just make sure you call to check before you go incase you have late night diner plans. I plan on celebrating my Sons 18th Birthday Dinner there and I'm so grateful because due to other prior plans and late work schedules Rancho Mateo is perfect to Celebrate a late night Diner Birthday without having to put it off to another day. However what better way to experience Rancho Mateo then to Visit them yourselves.

Siempre amamos comer en Rancho Mateo La comida ha sido deliciosa pero hoy me llevé lleve la peor decepción, llegamos a las 10 am todo estaba vacío y la mesera no nos dejó sentarnos donde quisiéramos sino ella nos impuso donde ! Estando vacío el lugar. Después nos sirvieron comida dañada, arruinada ! Pedí el desayuno ranchero La arepa tenía mal olor, las papas estaban frías solo las recalentaron un poco y en si toda la comida tenía un sutil olor a shuco, el otro desayuno de mi amiga estaba frío también y el pollo tenía mal sabor. Llegó otro mesero y nos preguntó que había pasado y le dijimos que la comida estaba mal, nos descontó un plato éramos 3 chicas yo insistí en ir ahí ! Ahora estoy muy apenada con mis amigas ! Tengo miedo de pedir la cena de año nuevo ahí a como lo tenía planeado

However, I’ve noticed the portion sizes have been reduced recently, which takes away slightly from the overall experience. Uno de los mejores restaurantes colombianos a los que he ido. La comida es espectacular, en especial el bistec en salsa de champiñones. Cada platillo viene con dos appetizers y puedes elejir entre, frijoles, french fries, salad o arroz lo que hace la comida super llenadora y completa.
El área de bar es buenísima, tiene tragos deliciosos además de que ofrecen una variedad de cervezas de diferentes partes del mundo.
El lugar está ambientado de una forma muy latina, incluyendo la música.
Sin duda, regresaría a este restaurante.

Buenas noches, el bistec a la plancha, siempre me ha gustado mucho, justo hoy mi novio y yo teníamos mucha hambre, esta vez la carne, parecía vieja, como si me estuviera comiendo un caucho y a parte súper seca, dije no cebolla a la ensalada, sin embargo me pusieron cebolla y hasta la chica que me atendió me repitió la orden, no vuelvo a comprar carne allá, no volví porque mi novio dijo que no, pero yo si la hubiera devuelto, quisiera subir una foto de la carne para que vean que no estoy diciendo mentiras.

Tengo una pésima experiencia con este lugar. Solicité una picada mediana y nos intoxicó a todos en casa, la carne seguramente no estaba fresca. La papa llegó dañaba, definitivamente no la recomiendo dos de nosotros tuvo que ir a la clínica por intoxicación 🤢 la verdad muy mala experiencia. Y para el lugar siendo un establecimiento de alimentos deberían tener mucho más cuidado con la temperatura de sus carnes y de más ingredientes esto es delicado y puede causar cosas más graves

Ayer estuvimos comiendo con unos familiares,que vinieron de visita unas horas y de repente y como siempre la comida y el servicio espectacular hasta que pagamos,no teníamos mucha plata e íbamos un poco con lo justo y al dejar la propina Laura la camarera que nos atendió que nos dio un buen servicio, aclaro ,cuando vio la propina fue muy grosera no le gustó para nada y se devolvió a preguntarnos que si nos había molestado algo a lo que mi esposo con mucha vergüenza le dijo que no que al contrario muchas gracias de esto no me doy cuenta por qué yo estaba en el baño en ese momento así que cuando salí le digo que si nos tomaba una foto y de muy mala manera lo hizo sin dejarnos ni acomodar para está ,simplemente cogió el teléfono la tomó al aire me lo entregó y se fue a lo que le pregunté a mi esposo que pasó y ya me lo cuenta
