Their (BL) prices are reasonable, even before their 20% Going Out of Business sale.
That day I was looking for a step ladder. Really a chair ladder, but no one has those in store anyway. The store manager said they'd had many ladders before but none in the store now. He directed me down the Plaza to Dollar "gouge." Before leaving I spotted a lone rather used-looking ladder in a back aisle of BigLots for $30. I told myself, if I didn't find something at the store down the lane I'd come back and purchase that one.
They (Dg) had 2 & 3-step ladders starting at $49 and going up to $100. No, just no. I looked on Amazon and ladders were similarly priced, so I went back to BigLots and purchased what turned out to be the store's ladder for a meer $30. No haggling, but still a bargain.

Manager/Supervisor is super rude!!! I went to do an order pick up for one of my family members on 01/5/24. My name wasn’t on the order so they had to call a manager/supervisor to approve me taking the order. I had no problem with that because I work in retail and I understand how things are done. I had called my family member on the phone so they could approve the order.The manager/supervisor came up to me with a super bad attitude and was speaking over my family member and wouldn’t even let her speak. She did not have to give us attitude over a pick up order when I wasn’t giving any problems about the situation. She shouldn’t be a manager/supervisor if she doesn’t know how to handle her job!!

Just yesterday I purchased a couch there and the salesman named Kaleem was very pleasant, thorough, and extremely helpful. UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2022, 5:09PM: I have not noticed any changes; the staff remains professional and friendly, the prices remain reasonable, the variety of merchandise remains vast and the prices and variety of tote bags remains very good.

The staff continues to be professional and friendly, and the prices remain low. I AM happy to report every staff member I encounter wears their face covering correctly. Too bad more customers do not do the same. A good shopping tip to keep in mind is that sometimes items are moved to a different section. Ask a cashier or an associate in the aisles, and there is a good chance the item you seek shall be in the store.
