Have been many times at this location and each time every employee is willing to help with my questions and issues. They are super knowledgeable of what’s available in the store and where to find even the rarest small item (like tension pin).
I’d like to call out Edwin, one of the store managers, who is a real super star willing to go above and beyond to help customers.
The store itself is always clean and well organized.

This is their version of one coat coverage "snowbound white"

The first gallon took 3 coats to semi cover the walls. Cracked open the second gallon and it was brown. Guessing the first gallon was also defective but there is no way that the second should have been given to me looking like this.

So here I am with people here to paint and no paint.

I ordered next day delivery and received items that were clearly missing parts. Since the delivery (of the defective item) was technically completed, they will not refund the next day delivery fee. I essentially paid to expedite the process of finding out I was being shipped a defective product.

If you are considering next day delivery, opt for a store that will not ship out obviously broken/defective products. Overall, ordering from this store just isn't worth the trouble or the time, so I would personally avoid it all together.

You get better expert advice and customer service from your local hardware shop. Too bad they don’t carry everything you need.

My experience was poor. No one offered help and when I asked someone for department specific they had no clue as to what I needed or where to find what I asked for.

I eventually figured it out after what could’ve been 15 minutes turned to an hour or so.

This had been my experience every time. Are we investing in training and adding value to the employees. Doesn’t seem this way.

The store cancelled my order because they didn't feel like picking it. Their reasoning was that the items were out of stock.

Following receipt of this email, I instructed one of my employees to go to the store and see if they had any of the materials in stock. They did. They had the whole order. All of the material was sitting on the shelf in the same location that is depicted in the store map, GO FIGURE! I was then forced to have one of my employees pay out of pocket when I had already purchased this same material online earlier that day.

This is my genuine review with proofs and experiences. Do avoid getting doors and windows installed from Lowe’s. Other products might be excellent in Lowe’s but avoid doors and windows from lowe’s north bergen. My personal experience with installer and Lowe’s representative who charged me around $15000 for doors windows which is not worth. I was overcharged after finding same product same company from other installer.I would not mind paying more money if installation and products are good. After not even 6 months of installation, I had water drain issues from windows in my all rooms while rainy season. Windows and doors were not installed properly from outside not even insulated properly and all rooms get too much cold air, wind noise and traffic noise. My previous windows were too old but atleast I had to put heater between 68to 75F. Right now I have to keep heater on up to 80 to 82F all time in winter season to keep house warm in normal winter. I made so many complains to headquarter lowe’s but got no prompt reply. Also customer service always try to reach to the store and couldnt get in touch with the person.Then I complained to northbergen lowe’s store, they advised me to contact Lowe’s customer service. Lake of communication between stores and headquarter made a big mess. My door was installed after 1 year and 6 months. It was left in garage by delivery person and installer did not show up for 1 yr 6months. When installer came after long time he said door was measured wrong so Lowe’s representative asked me to pay again for same door to replace. I did pay one more time which I get refund later. But its all gimics and not trust worthy. My glass door has part missing which I mentioned to installer and representative and they couldnt get me till now. When I called representative that nobody has showed up to install he said talk to the customer service. Every time I reach him he said I am busy and talk to customer service. I was never provided my invoices and order bills that I paid for the order. He said he will provide me invoices after installation and never got any bills. I had to present bills to my charter accountant for the taxation purposes which I couldnt. Thanks to lowe’s for giving me so much hassle and problems. Also i cant sleep neither my family in the night due to heavy wind and traffic noise. Nothing is installed or insulated from outside. My old windows were sealed proof. Now no one wants to take responsibility. My basement windows were done by Home depot North bergen and they did super seal proof. I am attaching pics of lowe’s install windows and doors that i have to go through every rain season. Gaps were left in the borders also products borders are not sealed. I dont have extra money to spend to fix this job that is been already paid. Also lowe’s has overrated pricing with bad quality installation.I would not recommend Lowe’s North bergen to anyone. Atleast not for doors and windows. Worse service and once they get money representative try to avoid complaints.

This Lowes store has the most amazing crew. From the girl at the front desk to the customer assitant and the person that put the order together was a great experience. Everyone ready to help. The entire shopping experience at this store is usually pretty good. This week I needed some appliances, and Nabel and the young lady in the appliance dept went above and beyond to help me and show me all the options that they had available. Horrible experience. Not a soul in the store at 11AM. Waited in the door department for nearly an hour and then at the "Pro" area and when they finally found someone to help us, we had to wait for the guy to park his car and even then he was MIA.

Walked out disgusted and went to another Lowe's in Rutherford. Like going to heaven. Incredible customer service. Upbeat staff. "Mike" in the door department is beyond A+, a gem of a worker and kudos to manager Carlos who was superior as well.

Don't waste your time. Go straight to Rutherford and you will be happy. By the way, learned at the Rutherford store that a lot of the employees from North Bergen were there to get food from the "empanada" truck. Explains why there was nobody around to help in North Bergen!

When I walked through the door no one greeted me and that didn't bother me. When I clearly looked like I needed help the workers turned around and walked in the opposite direction as to run away from having to help a customer. When I do get someone's attention to ask for help they page on the intercom for someone to come and no one ever showed up. No one cares about work ethic just walking around on phones and moving in the opposite direction of customers. The place was nearly empty and now I know why. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. Will not be going back I recommend people just go to Home Depot where workers actually help.

Spent a lot of money on a Maytag washing machine. Delivery was abysmal. After having being forced to purchase the hoses (The old hoses were just working fine), the delivery guys over-stretched the manufacturer supplied exit hose- creating a small hole. They took my old inlet hoses, did NOT hook up the new inlet hoses, and left with the old machine. After starting the machine, the leak was discovered. Took another week before the (manufacturer supplied) exit hose arrived after two separate visits from the tech guys to verify the leak and the need for a replacement.
A disaster, as additional time-off work was necessary to facilitate all of these actions.
Now to the caveat. The machine is a not working as it should. After one week and three washes, the machine and room smells of burnt machine oil. Lowes does NOT want to exchange or upgrade this unit. We are willing to pay for the delivery. (They would like us to purchase an upgraded service plan however). Customer service is practically 'Non-Existent', and horrible when they are finally present. This is a total garbage machine and service. Don't often write reviews, but feel the need to warn everybody out there that you need to be aware. Stay away.

Staff is friendly if you can find them. Waited 30 minutes for help. Gave up. Went to next door store, got help in two minutes.
Most items in stock. However many empty bins of commonly used items, i.e. 1/4 -20 washers and nuts.
Specials seem to be in limited quantiies. Thus you settles for a higher priced item.

Honestly I couldnt tell you because no one will answer the phone here. I have called over a dozen times needing to speak to someone about an installation and I get hung up on, or put on hold forever, or they just let it ring and ring for 40 minutes on end.
The service with Lowe's across the board has been abhorrently bad and frustrating.

Went there to rent a rug cleaner. Went into the equipment renting room, nobody there. Went ask the closest Home Depot employee. "I'll call the guy she says". Nobody comes. Go to the next lady and she says she's gonna call someone. She screams at somebody. This guy steps in looking at me like it's the first time he stepped into that room. Ask a couple of questions and his face is like I am enquiring about @quantum physics. IHis energy low, low... I ask him about the proper product and he looks at the ceiling. I left the place in astonishment. Meanwhile the two ladies were talking and pleasantly walking around.

New Jersey Lowes do not have the capability to install and deliver appliances to Manhattan. Lowe's cannot control what store their appliances are fulfilled by, even if you purchase online. If you live in Manhattan and the appliance is sourced from a New Jersey store, you will have to cancel the order and reorder through a Brooklyn store. Learned this after two failed deliveries and numerous calls over a month. I recommend avoiding Lowe's all together.

UPDATE: The number provided below by Lowe's was a general customer service number. After being transferred three times none of the associates had any clue how to help or advise next steps.

Everytime i visit this location i come out frustrated, they have staff that arent knowledgeable about half the items sold in store. You have young adults whom are just there to collect a pay check understandable, but key for success hire ppl who know a little something about what your selling and if they dont know teach them so they can answer questions accordingly and make the shopping expierience easier.

Horrifying experience buying kitchen cabinets. The person who helped us design and order cabinets left a week after doing so, but never created the order correctly. No one was able to figure out or even tell us exactly what the issue was, but parts were constantly delayed and slow incoming. 6 months to a year it took for the major parts to come, contractors had to guess how everything fit together because they couldn't print the plans. Trim work from upper cabinets were never installed, and several small trim pieces from the base are missing. Large gabs are visible and several drawers feel wobbly and loose. Took over a year with contractor constantly ordered and coming back with small parts. In the end nothing was finished well and trim is missing. Getting in touch with a manager or supervisor is impossible, everyone at this store seems lost and confused and completely unwilling to help. It felt like pulling teeth to get anything done. We were constantly bounced around with different contractors and sales people, very poor communication or record keeping. Completely unsatisfied with 13000 dollars going down the drain. The colors are slightly off from piece to piece , trim pieces are missing from both upper snd lower cabinets, some drawers feel loose and unable to hold weight but after 2 years of begging and struggling for someone to finish or help us we gave up. Never doing business with this branch again. I recommend you head to home Depot or a mom and pop shop. I personally never want anything to do with this lowes again, 2 and half years down the line of struggling to get our voices heard.

I had a really bad experience with a pick up order. They told me that it was ready for pickup, however, when I got to the store, it wasn't ready. I left the store without my order after waiting more than 45 minutes for them to bring the order to the front, but they never brought it.

Recently got my carpet done from Lowe’s in north Bergen the gentlemen that worked in flooring Javier was very knowledgeable and helpful filled me in on so much. Also it was a very fair price and smooth transaction I would recommend Lowe’s flooring to anyone.
