The rewards program points add up fast helping the family budget. They carry most things i need to maintain and repair our home, they even have some basic supplies to maintain your car.

First and last time visiting this store. I came by mid-April simply to get a spare car key made and was told by Ron to leave my name and number and that I’d receive a call in 10 days at most to come by and have it cut after delivery. Over a MONTH later I still have not received an update after spending upwards of $250 on this key upfront and when I call to inquire about this, they find that they didn’t even have my information taken down in their books. Not only that, but I am then instructed to let them know days in advance before coming by to have the key cut because they are apparently so ill-equipped that what should be a 10 minute job takes days worth of physical and mental preparation. In short, this store is only worth visiting if you have an excess of time and money to spend and you are better off visiting quite literally anywhere else for your hardware needs.

The service here is excellent but, for some reason, the availability of products can be iffy. I often go to the south Bellmore store because of the selection. They're both Costello Ace, so I can't figure it out.

Went to order online and the item that was to be delivered was out of stock. The other item was not able to be delivered and then an item they had could not be delivered. Eventually got one but is not the item I wanted. Then they notified me of an item that was ready for Pickup. I did not place an order for pickup. Need to get their online system in order.

Wow. 05/19/23 First time here to get garbage bags. Found one I liked on sale for $12.99. Went to pay for it, and this long-haired douchbag had an attitude right from the start. He said $17.37. I said oh it showed this item as $12.99. He went to check and said yea you have to be an Ace member for this discount. I said, Okay, I just signed up on the website. Does that count? Or can I sign up here? He asked for my phone number and said there's no account and it takes 24 hours before it will go through. I said, really? That's odd. You must come across this a lot with first-time shoppers. He repeats himself, $17.37 with an attitude this time. I said okay no problem. Can I come back with the receipt and adjust the difference in a few days? Fed up, he says NO, you must be a member first, and THEN come in to shop to get the discount. I said, oh wow, are these questions bothering you? You seem a bit stressed out about this. Again, he repeats himself, 17.37! I pay with my card and leave. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. There must be other employees who know something is not right w this kid. Get rid of him. He couldn't handle a 1 minute interaction consisting of two questions. My impression of Ace Hardware has changed and I am not convinced that first-time shoppers are ineligible for advertised in store sale prices. Makes no sense at all. -Update- The next day, I went to the other Ace Hardware in Bellmore to exchange the bags because I ended up needing a bigger size. This time, I brought my dad's Ace member card. I mentioned to the cashier what happened the day before. He said that did not sound right at all, and in his store, this wouldn't have been a problem. He tried to remain neutral by saying maybe they do things differently there. AH is a giant chain. A policy like that is not going to change from store to store, lol. But I left it at that and went home.

Open 8 AM until 8 PM for winter hours; Sunday 8 AM - 6 PM. Google explicitly has the wrong hours, in spite of the fact they have been notified of this fact multiple times.
