I like to shop here for the less usual selections of gifts. I was looking for a nice piece of jewelry for a family member. I found an item, but was unable to have it gift wrapped or have the correct box, information leaflet, or pouch that is customary for this designer.
I had to seek out the staff for assistance, even though we were The only customers in the store at the time. The purchase was $152, and the gift bag that was offered was extra! I declined.
I was disappointed. I now have a gift that lacks the presentation that would make it extra special. If you are going to continue to offer John Maderos jewelry, please go back to offering the whole package.

This is an outstanding gift shop! It is filled with an amazing selection of all kinds of merchandise. The staff is both friendly and professional andready to answer any questions you have. We even had a chance to speak to the founder and she went out of her way to make us feel appreciated and explained how the place got its name. It is a great place to shop and support local businesses.

I had heard wonderful things about the Glue Factory but today was my first visit. The two ladies working this afternoon were not only welcoming but extremely helpful and patient. Everything is so beautifully displayed that I needed to take my time so as not to miss anything! All in all, I found prices to be inline with the unique nature of the items offered.
The purchases I made were very reasonably priced and I can't wait for a return trip!

Very nice place to find different items for the home and jewelry and clothing. Clothing is pricey but when on sale it is really a bargain. All types of items for the home. Nice employees. This was my 1st experience but a good one.

The Glue Factory has been a good fall back for me to get a nice gift when I am not otherwise inspired. What I mean is, I can count on finding something nice here if I have not had a specific thing in mind that would be sourced elsewhere. They have a great selection of jewelry which terms to be my go to in a pinch. The staff is quite friendly and I have never had a bad experience here.

The employees were rude and caddy. They didn't even welcome me or my sister. The stuff in their store is also wickedly overpriced. Like twice the original price. Ive heard that some stores in retail raise their prices so high just to make more money.. it seems like that is their only priority here. I want to support small Rochester based artists, but I won't be doing it through this shop.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little upset by the lack of customer service I received. My mom and I walked in and the two women there were talking behind the counter, no one greeted us. We continues to walk around the shop and not one staff asked if they could help us for the first 10-15 minutes! What really upset me was someone walked in after us and they were greeted right away. I've worked in retail and customer service is super important to me. We were acknowledged when we walked by the register but only to be told about the Christmas items being on sale. We weren't asked if we could be helped in finding anything. I would understand if they were busy and we weren't greeted but there were 2 employees and only 3 customers in the whole store!

They had lots of items on clearance, however their merchandise was very expensive. I don't know how they will be able to stay in business. A butter dish I picked up was Polish Pottery (I believe) and it was marked at $103. Their clothes were cute but out of my price range. I think they really need to hone in on a target market, I don't know how many people live lavishly in the Gates/Chili area but I can't see them staying in business long with how expensive items were.

Staff is always so friendly and very helpful when your trying to find just the right gift for someone. Their inventory selection is awesome, they always have items I can't seem to find anywhere else. I've been going to this store for more than 20 yrs. I remember as a kid they used to be in the Plaza across the street.

A holiday coupon was published in the Democrat and Chronicle on 11/15/15 stating Holiday Open House in Progress 20% off store wide. There were no date or timeframe restrictions printed. On 11-21-15 I visited the Glue Factory with a friend who wanted to purchase a gift for his nephew and neighbors. When he attempted to use the coupon, he was denied being told it was only for Black Friday.. This was not on the coupon. The clerk went on to say it was an error, but would not honor the coupon. She did offer 10% but would not honor the full 20% . My friend came from Pittsford to shop at the Glue Factory but for this unprofessional way of doing business, he nor I will ever shop there again. Regardless of who made the error, it is the Glue Factory's responsibility to honor what was published. You might consider reading Customer Service 101 and the definition of integrity.
