We stopped here very quickly while on a trip through Dover. They were closing early that day which we didn't know, so we got there with about 10-15 minutes to spare. The employee who took our order was so kind and helpful! I needed a whole bag of ground coffee, which I hated asking for since they were so close to closing, but she prepared it in no time at all and it was so fresh and delicious! I got a hot black coffee and my husband got a vanilla latte, and they were both great. Yummy coffee and great service! I would stop here again if I was in the area!

Friendly staff, great coffee, “beyond” groovy atmosphere- This place is simply a MUST try. I’ve had their matcha latte (iced) and an iced latte with their house made rose syrup- BOTH to die for!!!

When I moved to Dover a few months ago I was worried I might not be able to find the quality of coffee drink or welcoming atmosphere that I was used to in a bigger city. Not to mention, I come from working at a small locally owned coffee startup myself for 3 years— I have high standards for my coffee experience.

Then I found Magic Mugs & knew it was my spot. Chloe, Derek & Sophie are the absolute dream team. They make high quality drinks and make you feel like you are coming home when you walk in the door. They remember you, they start conversations with you & they are always seeking to make the community a better place. The decor, original art and collection of books & games is just icing on the cake.

I’m honored to call this *my* local coffee shop, and I take all my friends who come to visit here!

Such a cute, cozy, welcoming place in Dover. There are lots of fun things to do and excellent coffee. The new owners, Derek and Chloe, are wonderful people and the flex seating offers a comfortable space for everyone. I cannot recommend coming here enough. I’ll certainly be back every time I’m in town.

Also, get a cinnamon muffin or brownie. You won’t be disappointed!

What a fun place to stop for coffee and morning pastries!! Love to find the locally owned places rather than the chains. Lucky Charms Latte was good and hubby liked his hazelnut Latte. Baristas very nice and friendly.

I just stopped here on a whim while passing through and I was more than impressed. The latte was amazing and that’s just the half of it. The staff was top notch and friendly willing to take time to tell me about their business. The shop is perfectly clean and the service was prompt and friendly. Support this locally owned business. Next time you’re thinking of going to starbies just don’t - go here instead. I grew up in little ole Dover and I’m happy to see this amazing spot! I gave them 5 stars but they deserve 6! ☕️

I stopped here during a brief trip to Amish Country area and I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The workers (Owners?) were very friendly, made me a good coffee (I had no food, but next time I will), and I enjoyed the acoustic guitar hanging on the wall. The Mini NES area was really cool too and there are plenty of comfortable places to sit. I have been to many countries and most of the states, but rarely found such a neat little introvert-heaven coffee shop as this. Surprise to find it in Dover, OH... When I return to this area, in a few months, I will definitely stop by again!

They are the absolute best! Unfortunately since we cannot visit in person due to distance, I was able to order coffee to get delivered to me in Maryland! They even ground up the coffee for us. It arrived in like 2 days fresh and even better it was absolutely delicious. We also got some stickers and a punch card for when we can make it in. Amazing people that we adore from a far! Can’t wait to visit soon! ♥️

Barista was very nice. Atmosphere was clean and cozy. Way bigger inside than you would think. There was a kid playing video games on a tv they have in the lounge area. Pretty awesome that they make that available. The pour on my latte was a beautiful presentation. It is the little things when you are consuming premium coffee products. Prices weren't much different than other coffe shops. Expect to pay at least 5 bucks. Their presentation sets them apart, so I hope they don't lose that over time.

This is a nice spot for coffee or tea and a snack. They make an interesting iced chai. Fresh ginger is the predominant flavor, enough to develop a mildly hot sensation for a nicely balanced cold and hot beverage. The coffee is also delicious. They offer a range of available types and preparations of coffee and tea. You see the entire age range of the community from about 5 to 75 enjoying this fun establishment!

Ordered breakfast sandwiches to-go. Egg on the sandwich was cold, like just pulled from the fridge cold. Asked for crispy bacon and it was soggy. Ordered pumpkin scone and was given cinnamon instead. Would not go back.

This is a great addition to downtown Dover. The coffee is great and they have some unique and delicious items on their drink menu. Magic Mugs is spacious enough to host groups while still being the perfect spot to grab a table and catch up with a friend.

Magic Mugs is a coffee shop with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. There's free wifi and the coffee is of higher quality than really anywhere else I've gone for coffee. If you end up not liking how your drink is, the staff is happy to adjust it to taste better without any additional charge. The only downside I'd say is that the seating isn't very comfortable, but really it's a small price to pay for a charming and friendly environment that serves amazing coffee.
