We travel often and have tried various Mexican style restaurants. Some good, some not so much but this place is amazing. I couldn't even finish it all because I got so much. But it was soo good. My wife absolutely loved it. I got the fajitas and even though I wanted to eat more I couldn't. I'll just have to come back again.

The food and service were great. From the start, it was a great experience. The salsa and queso were good and the main course was good. Usually, a lot of restaurants have bad salsa, but this was not the case here. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone to try out if they have not already.

Well the night started off great…

The bartender was super sweet and I left him 30% tip. However, with me being in town to work a wedding this was my one night to just chill. I arrived to make a togo order inside but stayed for some margaritas at the bar. I ordered a create your own plate which consisted of 2 sour cream chicken enchiladas and one cheese enchiladas with onions and red sauce. My food came fast but since it was togo it was bagged up. Later in when I arrived to my hotel to finally eat my dinner I was astonished by my togo meal. It was WRONG. 3 sour cream chicken enchiladas in FOIL. Good thing I looked before putting it in the microwave. Who the heck puts foils in a togo box knowing it will be microwaved later on?! Not to mention my meal was wrong and was honestly mediocre to say the least. I didn’t even eat it. Customer service was spot on but the rest truly sucked. Now I have no dinner and I am out $14. I can’t even call tomorrow to complain because I will be working a wedding as a photographer and when I get off they will be closed already. As a first timer I was holing for more. Please do ever put foil in your togo boxes again. That is honestly the dumbest thing ever.

Not to mention they were out of honey and had to serve their sopapillas without any to customers.

Food and service were good. The portions are huge, you won’t leave hungry. They give you plenty of chips so you don’t need a refill. The flour tortillas they gave with the chips and salsa weren’t the best, they tasted store bought.

Ask for RUBAN!!!!!!!! Best waiter in the building!!! Sweet Tea 🫖 is the best sweet tea in Oklahoma! Hands down!! Like wow!! One of my favorite Mexican spots in Oklahoma! Everytime I come home now I will be visiting and asking for RUBAN!! He made our experience so fun! Thanks a lot!

It’s a decent little Mexican spot! We went there for lunch and enjoyed it. The food came out VERY fast. I paid $12 for the quesadilla lunch portion and it was smaller than I expected for the price, so I’d recommend the “Make Your Own”. It has larger portion sizes and will be better bang for your buck.

The waiter was not too intrusive but came just often enough to keep everything going.

But now that I know where they are when me and the family go out for mexican food, this is where we're going. This man is family to me my Grandpa used to cut his Dad's hair for a long time. Favorite Mexican restaurant around. Every since they moved to the west side of town it has been 10/10. Food is absolutely delicious every time. I've never gotten anything I didn't love. Staff is great too. Last time I was there for a call in order a man that I'm assuming is a manager helped me carry my food out. Couldn't ask for better food or service.

I get the fajitas here all the time. Well i havnt been here in 4 months. Today me and my girlfriend went to eat fajitas about 12:30pm. We had the bariatric surgery so we shared a lunch beef fajitas. They said it was $5.99 extra to share. Fine. Next they brought out the fajitas and it had jalapeños instead of bell pepper. Now I love hot stuff, but this put my mouth on fire. The relish was all onion. When I asked the waiter about the relish, he said it was all onions. Then I asked him about the fajitas and why was it jalapeños instead of bell pepper. He got mad and took my fork and threw it on the table and grabbed my plate and walked off. I asked for a manager. He told me he wasnt there. So we decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. He brought me my ticket and charged us for the meal plus $5.99. I told him I wasn't paying for that. They had to get the manager that supposedly wasn't there. First the manager wanted us to pay for our meal and take it to go. I said im not eating the food here after the stunt the waiter pulled and the messed up fajitas. He didn't charge us for our meal and we left. I will not be going back. If I could give it zero stars I would. I will be going to El sombrero from now on. They are cheaper, way nicer, and always consistent with thier food. I am very upset with that waiter and cook. 30 mins later and my mouth is still on fire.

The ground beef inside the burrito was lacking any seasoning whatsoever, not even salt. I was expecting at least a hint of cumin. Not sure how the kitchen could get that basic recipe wrong. On the other hand, the sides (refried beans and rice) were quite good, as were the chips and salsa.

We just relocated to Norman, OK. We had high hopes for true Mexican Cuisine and Chelinos did NOT disappoint. I haven't had such amazing and wonderful food like this since I finished my tour of service in California. It was exquisite, delightful and DELICIOUS! We're still exploring other places, since we have an eclectic palate; however, I would recommend Chelinos as a go to for the authenticity (excellent portions), service staff and pricing!

Well the night started off great…

I have not had Chelinos in a while because this staff is the best. It was like coming home. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great for me to work while grabbing a bite to eat. Ask to try the jalapeño salsa. Tonight I went with the enchilada dinner. Yum! I love their boracaho beans.

If you want a cheap ‘no frills’ mexican meal this is fine, but if you want a nice place to sit down keep looking. We got a poor first impression with the cheap tasteless queso (think the glutinous looking stuff that looks like its from a powdered mix), & the bathroom stalls need a fresh coat of paint, but tackiest of all is the watered down dawn in the hand soap pump that just squirts everywhere but on your hands. The tortillas were good, my fish tacos were pretty good but my husband’s beef burrito was not, it was filled with a lot of hard burnt bits that should have been thrown away not plates up.
I wanted to like this place but I would not come back. Its easy fixes if management would invest in a higher quality queso (great first impression) or don’t serve it at all (have people order & pay for better quality queso), freshen up the bathrooms with some nice clean white modern paint, & don’t skimp on hand soap.

This was only our second visit, but I really like the atmosphere,, the service is super friendly, and the food is very tasty and fresh. The quesabirra tacos are delicious! I love they have so many side offerings and what we've tried has been delicious. Extensive margarita menu and I haven't picked one I haven't liked yet!

I had the Bisteck Ranchero which is a 6oz tenderized Steak; topped with Mixed Monterrey Jack & Cheddar cheeses; served with Guacamole and Pico de Gallo And holy moly. The steak was tender and full of flavor. Definitely encourage you to try this dish!

My husband enjoyed the Beef Quesadilla
Which is two fajita beef or fajita chicken quesadillas filled with shredded cheese and served with a side of sour cream and guacamole.

I love the atmosphere of this place.

First, the service was some of the best anywhere. The manager was helping an elderly man get to his car, then held a table for me while I waited on a friend to arrive. The wait staff was excellent from start to finish as well. The food tasted fantastic and portions were generous. Great dinner!

The food was really good. Our waiter was super attentive and was quick to get us what we asked for. We sat in the atrium, which was nice but with the acoustics of the high ceiling and how loud the music was, it was a little hard to hear the waiter, or each other.

We were in town for a softball game and were in a rain delay. The portions of each plate were very generous but the food was not as good as we expected. The beef had an odd flavor to it. Ordered the fish tacos on corn tortillas. Chips with salsa and queso were delivered immediately. Chips were made in house, salsa was tasty, and queso was steaming hot. Fish tacos were served in short time and came with refried beans, rice, and guacamole. Extra tortillas were also served. Fish tacos were over flowing and I was able to make two extra healthy fish tacos with the extra tortillas. All the servings were delicious and super filling. Service was excellent as the waiter was constantly checking in. Inside it was decorated similar to a Mexican restaurant but had a “Lucha libre” flair. Great food, super service, and nice relaxing environment to dine in. 👍

This place is way better than tarahumaras in every way possible. Better food, bigger portions and half the price. Me and my girlfriend ate there for $26 before tipping. This included chips and queso. I paid $50+ at Tarahumara’s for worse food.

The service is very good! But the food is not the best all the time, one of the guests at my table complained that his chicken he got on his food was very tough and a black' ish color, (uncertain what the dish name is) And I got 2 tamales and the rice had a weird taste to it. The Queso is a little chunky too. I've never had any problems with the service, or atmosphere. (There is a bar included.)
