It's a huge store and offers a variety of sports which is nice. The staff was okay though, I have encountered better staff at other kind of department stores etc. They were friendly though! Shoes section was less appealing and I didn't really get much insight for the type of shoes I wanted. They just showed me "here" and I still felt lost on what to look at. Also there was a guy at the counter who had a bit of a strong body odor. Maybe he felt hot but it was unpleasant to me as a customer. It would be nice if the staff could take care of those kind of things

I went in-store on October 3rd to ask about my options for a basketball that couldn’t hold air after 66 days. Cheap quality in my opinion, the return policy is 90 days and basketballs aren’t an exclusion listed online. In my encounter, multiple associates aggressively repeated “it's been 90 days, I can’t do anything” and refused to even look up my order # to offer more insight on the matter. The order showed an error message when I tried to open it on my account, so I thought they may be able to re-send or verify the purchase. This was the only proof of purchase and again, it was NOT beyond the 90 days. Please learn how to calculate 90 days from a date of purchase. The exchanges was very disrespectful for a task that may take a maximum of 1 minute. The store was empty, it was 7 pm, there was no rush and there was no hostility in my presentation or anything near a demanding tone. While purchasing a SECOND basketball, the next associate told me they can't assist because it's beyond 90 days and rolled their eyes to the first associate I spoke with. 90 days from July 29 is Sunday, October 27, 2024, so their reason to refuse assistance isn't credible. The lack of professionalism from the person at the entrance alerting everyone most likely generated the bias and fueled the attitude.

I had an upcoming camping trip I needed supplies for and JOEY was a huge help. JOEY went above and beyond and dound the bear spray he and I were told was out pf stock multiple times and online. But JOEY found one somewhere, which was awesome. JOEY also helped price check a couple things for me. And while this was going on he was also helping someone else. Thank you.

In general, they sell sporting goods at considerably high prices. But, they have stuff you can't get anywhere else. Like check out this kick-a$$ fanny pack I got for my long hikes. Holds two water bottles, and all sorts of stuff. Awesome, right? But it cost 40 bucks!
I'm still happy with it.

Took my son to look at a new baseball bat. A few weeks ago we got one but was not the right fit for him. Went to the Downingtown location and had the BEST experience. Our sales associate Andrew took the time and worked with my son one on one to find the right fit. From the weight to the grip of the bat. Andrew took my son to the batting cage to see his swing and provided so much information and guidance. Truly grateful for this man today. What we originally thought about getting was the total opposite of what was the best fit for my son. Thank you Andrew! We will definitely look for you on our next visit!

Not good!! I brought in a club to be regripped and after taking the old grip off, was told that since it was a bubble shaft, that it could not be replaced! I was not told that, and was not given the option to make a decision to try and do that! Basically was told to go to golf galaxy!! Even tho the club is old I realiy liked it!! When I complained, He did finally apologize, and said He would try to order it for Me! Needless to say, it was not a pleasant experience!!

I had the absolute BEST experience during my visit! I'm very particular about what sneakers I like and very indecisive! CHRISTIAN was EXTREMELY helpful and so patient with me that's what made my experience awesome! He litterly brought out atleat 8-10 different pairs of shoes and tried so hard to make sure I left the store happy and with something I liked! He helped me go outside of my comfort zone and introduced me to a totally new brand for me and I'm so thankful he did because they are great! A young gentleman working the golf department told me I was next. I went up to the counter I had three clubs I wanted gripped. He got on his little headset talked to somebody, then told me he'd be right back. After 10 minutes I look up he's working the other checkout registers. Had to return an unused (due to size issue) product that was purchased around late- September of 2020 (it's June, 2021 now)--I replaced it back in its original packaging and put it on my dresser, where it remained lost since the day I tried it on to discover it was too large.

Anyway, the manager seemed more concerned for me and why I needed the brace than she was about the fact that I didn't have a receipt, and instructed a cashier to complete an even exchange. Due to a sizing issue, the return had to be redone (that was even after store personnel had measured my ankle).

It was handled professionally from the beginning. Thank you store manager [Renee?]!

Located in a convenient shopping center with Wegmans next door. This store is smaller than the KoP location, but I still don't prefer this one. It feels crowded in here with small aisles and too much product on the floor for display. Pretty good fishing department, but very low inventory on some product. Nice to see Yeti coolers in here for sale. Started to get backed up at the line and only one cashier was available.

I used to like this store before it was emasculated and stopped selling guns. I haven’t been in here in a couple years but I stopped in today to look at safes and get a gun cleaning kit. There was not one item related to guns in the store, not even a box of BB’s. And things were very sloppy and haphazard and I couldn’t find an employee. So good riddance you sellouts. I’ll be driving all the way to Bass Pro in Harrisburg to give them my business.

Store is alright, selection is mediocre...went looking for college apparel but wasn’t able to find much in store...also don’t label sliding doors as “Exit” doors on the top sign and then post a “Do not enter” sign on the door that doesn’t open WHEN EXITING. That is a fire code violation.

Just overpriced medium quality stuff you can get online. The staffs not bad but they rarely know the sport or beat gear. Seems like they are trained on what needs to be sold vs what actually works best from experience. Great place to see what size fits though.

I waited 20 mins in line for a cashier to check me out. The cashier that was on duty turned her light out and just walked away when it was my turn to check out. She said nothing to me about where she was going or how long it would be. The other two lines were extremely long, on just a Monday afternoon mind you. I had to start all over and wait at the back of the next line when all the woman had to do was just check me out because I was the last in that line and I only had one thing. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.

Staff around the store ignores u, only the cashier was friendly.She was busy checking out all the costumers while there was a lineup and 3 other associates where beside her yapping away about their wkend plans.I could tell she was overwhelmed but yet she kept smillling at each costumer. She did a great job! As for some costumers, they should watch their kids,one kid almost got hit with a weight on his foot. The mother was yapping on her phone instead watching her kid.

I do apologize that I have to give Dick's Sporting Goods a three-star review. I went there with the specific goal of buying a pair of high quality leather winter boots that I would wear in the winter time when I went outside. In the past I've been there and had seen a really healthy collection. This time when I went there, there was almost nothing for men except for Hunters. They had a great selection of rubber and camo boots that almost went up to your knees, but had almost nothing, at least in stock, for just regular winter boots that went up just past your ankle. Curiously, they had a pretty healthy selection for women, but not for men, at least this time. I was very disappointed and left without buying any boots. So this is why I gave them three stars. There is a distinct possibility that I went at a very bad time when everything was sold out, even display models.

Fast and friendly customer service. I called in ti see if they had an item and spoke to 2 people. Super quick and they really listen to you. I said the name of the item...the whole name...which was like 6 words long and very specific.
