I've been here a handful of times many years ago and always raved about it. I finally got to take my husband because we were in town. I really talked it up. Food came out in probably 10 minutes (we were there for lunch and it wasn't busy) the food was room temperature. Nothing was warm. I am so confused how it came out so quick but it had no heat. Felt uncomfortable sending back the 3 entrees we got. From what I did taste it was complete lack of flavor and didn't seem fresh. My husband had 2 bites and said absolutely not. Our server was very nice and friendly but I know what can happen in kitchens if you send something back. And definitely not all 3. Im sad to say we will not be back. The only fresh thing was the guacamole. Waste of $60

I am a bit behind on posts … sorry about that … on Friday evening my Bestie Tara and I decided on trying one of the dozens of Mexican Restaurants in Norristown PA … we selected Taqueria La Michoacana … it was a traditional At most which was lovely … the wait staff were very attentive and did not communicate well in English … that’s okay because we do not communicate well in Spanish … time to learn … I ordered Beef Tostadas while Tara had Burritos in a Green Sauce with Refried Beans … I am not a Mexican Food expert by any stretch of the imagination … what I can say with 100% certainty is that the Tostadas I had were delicious … so very tasty … Tara loved her meal too … I don’t have a photo of the Flan I took home with me … it was fabulous … I definitely recommend this restaurant and give it 5 stars … LIVE LOVE LAUGH & THRIVE … 🇮🇱😎🇮🇱

My daughter treated myself and a friend of hers to lunch today and it is still the greatest Mexican Food in Montgomery County.
I have been eating here since my now 18yr old daughter, the same one who treated me to lunch today, was being baked in my belly on Chalupas at least twice a week.
I highly recommend anyone looking for authentic Mexican food head here ASAP

Lots of delicious food for very good prices!! The complimentary chips and 3 salsas was a delightful way to start off the meal. The spicy salsa was probably my favorite one. The actual meal brought a nice amount of Mexican rice which was very good and refried beans that I would enjoy everyday. The birria quesadillas were super flavorful and grilled to perfection. The consomé added that extra kick to the quesadillas and adding the spicy salsa brought it all together well. The service was a little slower than anticipated with the amount of customers in there but very friendly waiters.

The food was delicious! Drinks were great and very well made (we had Margaritas and Sangria). We were in the mood for seafood so we had the whole fried Tilapia (Pescado frito) and whole fried Red Snapper with Shrimp and Chicken Enchiladas (Plato yucateco). If you know how to eat whole fish and are not bothered by bones, I highly recommend both dishes and regret not taking photos as the presentation was beautiful. We were so delighted we just started eating. The staff were great and very attentive.

Went there for the first time, the food was okish but the menu seems very complicated to pick something. I have asked the waiter what is very traditional for a first comer but he did not recommend us anything. I went with a couple from Mexico and even they thought the menu was a little bit tricky. It was okay but I would not go a second time.

The chicken tacos were good. I've def had better nachos we were shocked at what we were served. There was no music played and the place was completely empty and it was dinner time. It was weird. The server at the bar was nice. Made a good passion fruit mojito! Won't be back on purpose.

The staff is very knowledgeable on suggesting entrées.Leficia bartender’s is very courteous, polite, and her drinks that she banks are awesome. Editing for Summer 2002. Still a solid goto place in Norristown. A bit more "elegant" than the average taqueria here, but a varied menu, always well-prepared. Great service. Prices haven't changed much in 10 years (but their English is much better.) Portions are HUGE.

Let's start with the pitcher of Margaritas, excellent and cost-effective. 2 people had two drinks each. I had the shrimp fajitas and I was a little disappointed it didn't come out on a skillet plate but they were amazing nonetheless. My husband got the dish scene in the picture which I don't remember the name of but is chicken beef shrimp a pork chop vegetables cactus all seasoned and served and a hot lava bowl. He LOVED it. The restaurant had an atmosphere of your favorite friend's home. It was extremely clean well organized and well lit and the staff was friendly ❤️. Love this place and will stop by anytime I'm in Norristown or the surrounding area. We highly recommend with a chef's kiss.
