This was my second time dining at Junction Kitchen, and I have to say, I'm even more impressed than the first. It’s a fantastic spot for a weekday brunch, especially when it’s not too crowded. The relaxed atmosphere makes for a really pleasant experience.

A big shoutout to our server, Caroline, who went above and beyond to accommodate my wife’s food intolerances. It’s always a relief to know that the staff takes such care in ensuring everyone has a great meal.

As for the food, the chicken thighs were absolutely outstanding. I can confidently say they were some of the best chicken I've had at any restaurant. The flavors were spot on, and the texture was perfect. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Looking forward to my next visit already!

Food cannot be rated because we never got ours. We waited over an hour for three sandwiches. Our drinks actually watered down we waited for so long. Waitress took the order and never came back to the table. Obviously there are issues here to be addressed. Do NOT waste your time here. If I could give zeros for ratings I sure would! Save yourself and go elsewhere!

Party was sat outside; hostess brought menus and silverware. After 10 minutes with no service, went in to let them know. After another 5 minutes, still no one came out to even greet us. Went back in AGAIN to say no one has come out. Waited another 5 minutes before we left. Important to note that other tables outside were being served.

The food was terrible. We had biscuits and gravy with add on chicken was dry and over cooked. No gravy.. The coffee rubbed bacon was over cooked as well. Bitter coffee to wrap up the meal.
When server asked how everything was, I told her not good. Her response was " terrible, aweful, never again". What an odd answer.
Go to McDonald's and save yourself a few bucks.

I have been twice. Today was disappointing. I ordered the chicken and french toast. I could only bring myself to eat one piece of the bread and one partial piece of the chicken. Seems as though it may be time to change out the grease you fry in because you over cooked the chicken so made the meal terrible. Terrible cut of chicken too, tough and fatty. All three of the buzzed donuts I ordered to go were not good either. Everything was over cooked.

We were in Charleston for my birthday celebration and had everything planned out. The Junction wasn't in our plans, but we went because the menu looked really good online. Everyone chose their meal before we even got there so we wouldn't have to wait too long because we had other plans for the day.

We had a 20-minute wait before being seated and had a great server by the name of Lauralee . We started with drinks, and two of us had the Peachy Palmer, and the other had a Bahama cocktail.

When it was time to have our order taken, we were disappointed to find out there was NO CHICKEN at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Now, we had to change what we wanted after preparing our taste buds. So, three of us had shrimp and grits in which turned out to be very good, and the other person had the avocado toast. We also shared sides of shroon bacon, coffee rubbed bacon, turkey sausage and French toast.

Overall, the food ended up being good despite not having the sweet tea chicken we were looking forward to.

The service was phenomenal, even though it took a while for the food to come. We got there an hour after they opened and was seated rather quickly, however, it took 30 min for us to receive our food after ordering. It wouldn’t have been as bad for waiting if our food was hot. I had the chicken and French toast with a side of pimento cheese grits and the only thing hot was the grits. However, the food had great flavor, I would have enjoyed it more if it was hot. I would’ve given 5 stars if the temperature was on point but other than that the food was good and the atmosphere was great. Friendly staff and Caroline was AMAZING!!!

Waited almost two hours for a bagel with cream cheese, lox, cucumber, tomato and avocado smeared on a slice of toast. At the time they were busy, but being at other restaurants with more complex dishes. The hour and a half wait was nowhere near worth it.

The food arrived, after what seemed like waiting for the avocado harvest and the salmon to reach maturity. I could have made everything at my home in 1/5 the time. Unfortunately we found hair in some of our food and due to the incredibly long wait, we just decided to eat around it, as requesting a new plate probably would've kept us there until dinner time.

Tldr: waited over an hour for a piece of toast and a bagel. Found hair in the food, didn't say anything because God knows how long it would take for a replacement order.

Some growing pains here: food took 45 min, was cold, then the wrong order, then really unfortunate quality. Ingredients seemed high quality, but the sauces were old and the food thrown on the plate haphazardly. A couple tablespoons of quinoa, five leaves of arugula, and a drizzle of yesterday’s gazpacho for $4 seems too much.

Good coffee good atmosphere. Great staff. When they figure out their systems, they’ll be amazing!

I’ve had the owner as a mentor for a couple years. She taught me how to become the best server I could be. I am proud to have worked there. There are meal options if you’re on a budget or you can go all out and have some croissant French toast and some Bloody Mary’s. Mostly everything is sourced locally and the environment is low key. Don’t expect something fancy just a nice little breakfast joint in North Charleston that welcomes everyone

I’m a junction stan. They’ve been a staple in the Park Circle community for as long as I’ve lived here (5+ years) and they do a great job serving their PC community. The food is always on point, the service is kind, and yes - there is always a wait - but it’s worth it in my opinion. For my latest visit, I had the best service from Laura Lee. She was kind, helpful, and went out of her way to make sure we had a pleasant experience. I’ve never had a negative interaction at Junction, and if you’re a normal, patient, and reasonable person, I know you’ll love it. If you want to be seated and have subpar food in under 15 minutes, then go to McDonald’s.

Worst restaurant experience I have had in well over 20 yrs. We ordered 2 eggs bacon and hash browns each with a half order of French toast. Took 45 minutes to get our food. Worst part is the did not ask about any food allergies and plopped a dollop of pecan butter on the French toast and my wife is allergic to pecans. It was not explained that there would be pecan butter put on it. Long story short don’t waste your time there are better places with much better service.

Great laid back spot for breakfast/lunch. This was the only restaurant we visited twice during our trip to Charleston.

-Waitresses were friendly and attentive.

-Girlfriend loved the Buzzed Doughnut. The coffee rubbed bacon and mocha dip were both awesome.

-While they weren't revolutionary, I thoroughly enjoyed my 'Croissant French Toast' and 'Biscuits and Gravy'.

-Choose-your-mug coffee station was cute.

-Affordable!

.5 hour wait to get in, 1.5 hour wait to get most arguably the worst breakfast combo in Charleston. This place fights hard to be a unique spot, and while it maybe once was; it’s now an influencers mainstream brain rot video. The food didn’t pair well and things were missing. No refills in that 1.5 hour time, and in the last 3 minutes I did receive a refill on the wrong drink! I understand things can be busy, potentially look at moving to a resy/reservation system to help. For those visiting Charleston, seek better options.

My husband is a fan of this place but I’m just divided. We’re from out of town, so the first time we came I had the French toast and chicken, and it was good but the chicken was a chicken thigh, and when you aren’t a fan of dark meat it’s just good enough. But we came back, this time I tried the Buzzed Doughnut… the food took 30/40 minutes to come out and my doughnut was overdone and my hashbrowns were burnt (which you wouldn’t know cause they flipped them over) I really wanted that sweet and salty and it just wasn’t super great. And I ordered a side of bacon ($3.25) got like a piece and a half?? Just disappointing cause we know this place is good. The menu’s a little small in my personal opinion but still an okay selection.
The server was very friendly though! And the mimosas are yummy!! Might just be a consideration to come back.

Beware it’s packed on the weekends. Small parking lot for the restaurant itself, but fret not, there’s free parking just down the street. Maybe don’t bring your bougie car though, parking is tight, gravelly and sometimes muddy.

Wait time around 10:30 on a Sunday was only 15 minutes for 2. They text you when your table is ready: seating options include bar, booths, high tops and tables.

Now for the main attraction, the food! Mexican hash was flavorful and delicious. My spouse got the huevos rancheros + sausage added. He loved it, bold and savory. The guac on top was a nice touch. All of the elements worked really well together. He took some of my chile salsa and was happy with that addition as well. Added French toast with their butter for the sweet touch. Portions are good. You won’t feel overly stuffed, but satisfied.

Service was really good. Kind, helpful and engaging. We needed extra napkins and the hostess happened to walk past our table. We didn’t seek her out, but she could tell we needed something and she quickly engaged/took care of us. One thing that was interesting, tip options start at 20, 25 or 30% Do what you will with that. Still great overall experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Super cute place and our server was great. The food: Meh.

Definitely too expensive for what you get.
Got the Huevos rancheros and Mexican hash, sides of hasbrowns and coffee grounds bacon.

So all the dishes were buried in arugula. Such a bitter element to add to EVERY dish. The plate to the side at the end is how much arugula we pulled out. And we ate a lot of it.

Both the main dishes were suppose to have black bean pico and we had black eyed peas in our dishes instead. Undercooked as well. So it was a weird texture and didn’t feel like it belonged. My rancho was served on crispy tortillas that I had a hard time cracking with my teeth so it just wasn’t super easy to eat. Overall both were just meh.

The hash brown had no seasoning and were undercooked yet had charred remains from the grill to make them taste burnt. The bacon, which sounds weird, was actually really good!

The service was great and we loved our server. She was so helpful. But the coffee is self serve, which I think is cute. But it’s $3.75 a person! To get up from your seat, serve yourself coffee that costs next to nothing to make. That was crazy.

When our bill came it was just too much for what we got. Just disappointed. They also didn’t have their gluten free chicken and said they haven’t had the flour yet so they haven’t been able to make it. Then please just go get some at the store or remove it from the menu.

The food was great & Emily was incredibly attentive. She had at least double the tables of any server there & was running like mad but the smile never left her face. Nice little brunch spot. The food wasn't bad, just a little pricey for what you're getting. I got the BELT with avocado, a sandwich with no sides for a little over $11. My son got the grilled cheese and chips, but didn't care for the chips since they're just plain with salt.

I'm assuming my sandwich wasn't cut because I had a runny egg on it and my drink was replaced a few minutes after the picture was taken.

I couldn't tell you my servers name as none of them were wearing name tags and she never introduced herself. She was the oldest woman on shift and did a decent job. She definitely kept up with her tables checking in relatively frequent.

My one true complaint about our visit was watching a girl with long red hair pulled back in a black scrunchy pick food off of a plate in the window that was served immediately after. She also walked through the lobby chewing which I found very unprofessional. I understand being hungry on shift, but at least excuse yourself to the kitchen so others don't see you eating.

Other than that, I wish my server had asked if I wanted change instead of assuming that everything I handed her in cash was her tip. She simply said "thank you, have a nice day. Thanks for coming in" and walked away.

Not a huge deal, just a few things that could bear to be fixed to show a little more tact.

I hate to say anything negative, but the place is over-attended for the quality of the food. Waitstaff was wonderful. Food? Not so much. Hash browns ordered crispy were burnt on one side, undercooked and white on the other. Asked for bacon in them and there was a crumb or two, but if there is a next time, I will bring my own. Peach French toast was uninspired. Shrimp and grits was not up to Charleston reputation. I was thinking "IHOP" and would have been perfectly happy with Waffle House or my own cooking. My local family chose the spot so maybe other dishes are better. It's draw is that it is a trendy place to eat.

Emily's service was impeccable. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her bubbly personality added a special touch to our dining experience, making us feel right at home. Whether it was offering excellent recommendations or just sharing a friendly chat, Emily made our brunch so much more enjoyable.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Junction Kitchen, and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. From their delectable Biscuits & Gravy with Sweet Tea Fried Chicken to their commendable commitment to inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community, this establishment impressed me on multiple fronts.

However, what truly stood out was their unparalleled customer service. Upon encountering a slight delay in preparing my order due to an issue with the gravy, the kitchen manager personally approached me to explain the situation. Not only did he offer alternative menu options to expedite my meal, but he also went above and beyond by ensuring I was comfortable during the brief wait. Despite my reassurance that there was no rush on my end, he generously provided pastries to enjoy while patiently waiting for my dish to be ready.

It's rare to encounter such transparency and genuine concern for customer satisfaction in the restaurant industry. The Junction Kitchen exemplifies what true hospitality means, setting a standard that many others could learn from.

As for the meal itself, it surpassed expectations. The Biscuits & Gravy paired with Sweet Tea Fried Chicken was a delightful combination of flavors and textures, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. Despite the minor delay, the wait was inconsequential compared to the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, my visit to The Junction Kitchen left a lasting impression, not only for its exceptional cuisine but also for its unwavering dedication to providing top-notch service to every patron. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend indulging in a meal at this gem of a restaurant.

Food was fantastic! Bloody Mary's were as well! The food takes a tad longer to come out than at a typical joint, but the thought, quality, and flavors of the food is above and beyond so the little extra time is so worth it. Were I a local I would be a regular. Highly recommended. Highly impressed. Great spot.

Hostess did not have any silverware so we sat down without anything the basket that was supposed to have straws stayed empty the whole time we were there. The waitress was great. But she was overwhelmed. The manager NEVER came out to check how things were going or to help out. The food was delicious. But the first time my meal came out. It was not hot (barely warm) had to order another. For me, it was not enough anyway.

Offers a Gluten free fried chicken on request on the menu. No GF chicken is available. Same for the on request gf croissant waffle. Please take those "options" off the menu. I really was looking forward to it, but ended up with some pretty mediocre hashbrowns. The bacon was great however.

The atmosphere is cute and the vibes are good. We waited 45 min for a table and then didn’t see a waitress AT ALL after being seated. The hostess took our order. While waiting for our table we sat at the bar to get a drink, after getting our drinks and paying the bartender shooed us away saying if we weren’t eating there we couldn’t sit there while we wait for our table. Fine, I get it, but she was extremely rude about. The food is meh and the plates are so small. My huevos rancheros literally came out on a side plate, that’s how small it was. This is my second time here and the first was only slightly better than this time.

I heard good things about this place but honestly It was really disappointing, 45-1hr wait to be seated plus another hour to get our food, here’s where the one star comes, very small plates. I'm always thinking that is not about the size but the quality and the flavors, because they were never there, flat flavors, black eye pea pico de gallo was terrible, as well as the cactus pork, my biscuit cold and flat.
I guess locals love this place because it was packed not for my taste and not for what Charleston is very well known (one of the best places in the US for food lovers)

I’ll have to be the one who says it. Not worth the hype!
We visited on a Sunday morning because of the awesome reviews. While the food was fine, it is way overpriced for what you get. The portions in the photos online are not accurate. The server was nice, but wasn’t very attentive. We ran out of our sweet tea and soda (3.95), and it wasn’t refilled until we were ready to leave. We waited for at least 15-20 minutes after our plates had been cleared before the server checked us out our table. Unfortunately, there were many people waiting to get seated, and they could have been sat much sooner. We observed another table waiting to be checked out as long.

If you’re into gentrified breakfast spots you’ll love this place. If you’re in the area and want something bougie or just want to sound hip by saying you go there, it’s a great spot. The menu on their website only for the weekdays. I love most breakfast spots but their menu is just trying way too hard to make good breakfast food, better. Their pop biscuits doughnuts and sweet tea chicken are excellent.

I want my hour back! We never got to eat..... we sat there today for 55 minutes and our food never came. We asked our server a couple times for an update and each time we were told there were new people in the kitchen. At one point we looked around and no one was eating; it seemed everyone was waiting for the 'new people' to figure it out. Very disappointing that a manager or owner didn't seem to recognize the problem.

The place should expand, it was packed, but the brunch was some of the best food. It was also reasonably priced. I'm sure other days aren't as busy, but would highly recommend!

I’ve eaten at the Junction probably 10 times over the last 3 years and every time has just been what I would call “just fine”. The service is always great, but the food is always just fine enough for me to not ever say anything. But what I received today is ridiculous and I can’t believe we paid for it. My fiance got me a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant to go. We live about 10 minutes from here - I include that to say the food did not sit in his car for very long from point A to point B. When he got home, I opened the box to this. First of all, who gets sausage links on a breakfast sandwich? That wasn’t specified, at least on their online menu, and had I known they were links I probably just wouldn’t have ordered it. It’s just weird to eat with links. Secondly, one egg was also not specified, and I’d say standard at most places is two eggs. The croissant is comically large for one egg and two sausage links. The sausage links were DRY. The cheese on the croissant was somehow both rubbery and crusty. Just all in all a massive disappointment.

Was in Charleston visiting my sister and we drove past The Junction on Thursday. Looked like a fun place for lunch. There was a good crowd so it has to be good right???
It did NOT disappoint.
Our server, Emily, was the sweetest, and gave a great recommendation on the French toast. OMG!! It was to die for. Bourbon, maple, pecan butter!! Unbelievable. This is a must place if you like really good food, in a youthful, energetic setting.
Ask for Emily for sure!!

Great food, fresh and creative. The Mexican hash, huevos rancheros, chicken & French toast were great. The hash had tender juicy pulled pork while the huevos rancheros delicious combination of beans and arugula, and each came with perfectly cooked over easy eggs. The doughnuts, although good, didn’t steal the show as I thought they would from the hype, but no matter because the meals were excellent overall. The pecan cinnamon butter served with the French toast is so good, that I’m going to copy it at home. In reference to other reviews mentioning slow service, when a small, one off restaurant is very busy and I can see the staff buzzing about, then I turn on the patience. That was the case here, they were running around, helping each other and bringing out the food as quickly as the kitchen was able to prepare it so I chose to be patient and it was well worth the wait.

Just arrived to Charleston from Dallas and wanted something for breakfast. I had the pork tacos with goat cheese and avocado and the house made chips. A little salty but washed it down with a cranberry mimosa. Very cute little place. I hear lines out the door for brunch on the weekend but we were seated promptly with no wait. Good ole southern hospitality I must say.

It's a great place for brunch! I ordered the Mexican hash with avocado and a side of coffee rubbed bacon, and it was bliss. I tried their seasonal apple cider mimosa, and it hit the spot.

That was one of the worst meals I've ever had. I don't know what they consider "eggs over easy", because I was just given "eggs over hard" - simply overcooked eggs. The bacon was burnt, and the "coffee sauce" was bad enough to spit back out.

To add to this, we spent an hour just waiting to order, and another 20 minutes after waiting on food. The waitress was nice and pleasant to talk to, but the wait was awful.

The huevos rancheros was undercooked almost, and the most "Americanized" version I've ever had, with undercooked beans, plain pulled pork, and very little seasoning.

I don't even want to come back to give the place a second chance just because of how bad the food was. I'm actually astonished. Waffle House would have been a better option.

Found an incredible place for breakfast, The Junction Kitchen and Provisions, in North Charleston. I would bet their lunch and dinners are not to be missed too.

Mexican Hash- Cheesy hash, cactus braised pork, over easy egg, black bean pico, jalapeno honey chutney, and avocado... there was a lot going on in this dish, the resulting combination made fir a fantastic out of the norm breakfast.

Buzzed Doughnut- Coffee rubbed bacon and over easy egg on a biscuit doughnut with a mocha dip and shredded hashbrowns. Side of stone ground grits.... WOW, WOW, WOW! This dish had my tadtebuds firing on all cylinders. The coffee rubbed bacon is something I will never forget. The egg was a perfect over easy, the hashbrowns tender with just the right amount of crispy crust. I took them both off of the biscuit donut and ate the donut either the mocha dip. It was soooo good. I added Brian's jalapeños honey chutney to my grits. Made the creamy grits even better.

The service was great as well.
