So I finally went inside for them to say the system had been down, and nobody came outside to notify anybody who had also been waiting. I was told to come back in a few hours. Came back a few hours later, just for my order to be cancelled. The item I ordered was the last one left in stock and they misplaced it after canceling it. Absolute chaos

I ordered black and white buffalo print wrapping paper and when I went to pick it up the North Charleston, SC Target had put my order back on the floor and now it’s gone. I bought it at full price, not clearance. They offered to let me pick out 2 different wrapping papers that was left over, but it is not what I wanted. We pick out themed wrapping paper for each year so what is left does not work. I have NEVER had this happen before. This isn’t even my usual store, but it was an item we specifically wanted so had to pick it up here since shipping was not available. Why would you put something back on the floor for sale with someone’s name on it?????? Unless it was someone that works there who did it and bought it themselves. This store could benefit from better training. A complaint has already been made to corporate. I am HIGHLY disappointed. I will never do a pick up at this store ever again.

Very nice Target. It is clean, well lit and organized. They have a nice variety of food items. The Magnolia section is really great. It is easy to stay in this store, grab a Starbucks coffee and look around.

I am sick, so I placed a delivery order. They said they would be delivered between 9:00-10:00pm. I got a message after 9:00 pm letting me know it would be delivered midday tomorrow instead. This target is the worst. They have a million people working yet the store is an unorganized wreck and the employees can’t even find things, not to mention the constant theft that takes place here. It looks like this Target has given up. I’ve been a customer of this target for quite some time but it looks like they just don’t care about the appearance of their store anymore. This store looks worst than any Walmart and that’s hard to do. Not sure where the blame lies. Is it management? Are they understaffed? Whatever it is, they need to get it together. I’ve never seen any Target in this state of disarray.

There was a tornado warning and we were stuck at this target. The management took quick action in taking us all customers to the safety area. I appreciate the whole team for taking care of us and providing drinks while we were waiting for the tornado warning to be lifted. Thank you!

I was impressed during my last visit to Target's men's department—it's never looked better! Everything was super organized, making it easy to find what I needed, from casual clothes to dressier options. They've also brought in a bunch of new styles and the quality feels a lot better than before. The staff was friendly and really helpful too. If you haven't been there in a while, it's definitely worth checking out now. They've done a great job making the place look and feel top-notch

Do NOT go to or support this Target. It is LONG overdue to shut down. I honestly have no clue how it is still open. They treat their workers like garbage. Starbucks has been understaffed for a year and a half sometimes having one worker for hours at a time which is cruel. Constantly short staffed on the floor and expect the workers that are there to stay late or do 3 jobs at once. The managers barely do anything to help their staff. They make the workers feel uncomfortable in their work environment. Someone needs to hold these managers accountable and help the poor staff out.

Only ever has the four self-checkout lines open and the two small returns desks. The lines always up the main aisle and the people at the returns desk often call people out of the queue for the checkout line.

Today: The lines are long. Cashier at calls for next customer, I'm the next customer in the line, I think nothing of it I go up to check out. Cashier and a different customer start to berate me and belittle me because apparently that wasn't meant for me, but proceeded to still check me out anyways while her and this other customer were insinuating I am not paying attention and am stupid for coming up to the checkout when the other person was *obviously* the next one in line and that "The self-checkouts are for people like you, not me". If that's the case, make that apparent, put up something to make that division clear and never pull people out of the self checkout line to the staffed registers. Had she said "oh no I was meaning the other lady,"I would have just still waited, I even apologized and yet the two ladies kept on trying to make it a point that I was in the wrong. Terrible.

And btw it doesn't take store manager 15 to 20 minutes to "clock in" when it's already 30 minutes after the hour..and no i didn't protest to see a manager... apparently the store manager that needs 15 minutes to figure out how to clock in is also the only person in the entire facility that's capable of printing a receipt.

Tried calling the store because it was raining and I wanted them to know that I parked close for a pick up. Call and hit number 2, for guest services. It hangs up on you, tried to connect through Starbucks, nope hangs up on you too. Tried connecting through another department, after so many rings it just disconnects. Great customer service.

I went here the other week and I was trying to find an employee to talk to, I unfortunately got met with this worker named Jazmine. She did not know anything I was asking, she smelt terrible and I just did not want to buy anything from this target any further. I am so disappointed that I had to have an assault on my nose. She was blonde and you could definitely tell. I will not be coming to this establishment anymore because they don't have hygienic workers. It is disgusting and very sad that they hire these kinds of people to be in the public and smell like this. Please update your handbook and get that young lady some hygiene.

I’m a loyal target shopper and stopped by this location while visiting some friends and I gotta say, I’m completely distraught by the condition of this store. It’s really bad. I was disgusted with the PILES of clothes that were left on the floor throughout the store, shoes were all jumbled, trash left on the floor.. it’s COMPLETELY disorganized… It appears that management at this location doesn’t care about its cleanliness. I normally enjoy my target trips but when I visited this one, I really hated every second of it. Worst target location in my books. Corporate should really step in on this one.

This place is always hot mess. Clothes everywhere. Stuff from the shelves on the floor. I like to do the drive up orders but recently they’ve been missing the mark on that as well. They canceled one order saying they were out of stock. So I went in the store and found exactly what I ordered. It wasn’t even like that was the last one either. There were 6 of the item I ordered. Another time it was scheduled to thunderstorm in the evening. I placed a drive up order for the afternoon. It hadn’t rained at all. No thunder. No lightening. Literally blue skies. I pulled in and let them I know I was there. After 15 minutes u got. Notification that they were busy and someone would be out shortly. After another -5 minutes and multiple cars pulling in and no employees coming outside, I decided to go in. The lady at the pick up area was rude and dismissive. She said “idk why it let you order when it’s storming”. I didn’t even have time to reply before another woman who had an order stepped up and was like “there’s no storm. Not rain. Nothing.” The woman just shrugged. I absolutely love target but store is a complete disappointment.

Target- North Charleston (7250 Rivers Ave), is by far the most unkept store I’ve ever been in. There is evidence to support the lack of a night crew, because there are ALWAYS boxes of inventory everywhere. The clothing areas (men’s, kids, ladies, shoes, etc…) are always in absolute disarray. The online inventory identifying products as “in stock” or otherwise is wholly inaccurate, because I was staring at where a product should be, but was not. It was most likely in one of the boxes sitting all over the store.

Customer service employees are always friendly. I feel as though every other aspect of this location is being poorly managed, and overall inadequately staffed.

This used to be my go to Target location but unfortunately it seems to have taken a turn for the worse. It’s dirty, and the shelves are either barren, or completely disorganized. The last time I visited this target there was a woman in the restroom who appeared to be abusing substances. I’ve always had a pleasant experience with the remaining cashiers that do work there, but I’ll be taking my business to a different Target moving forward.

I have to be honest, this is one of my least favorite Targets that I have been to. It’s constantly a mess, the employees are very rude, and it always looks like a hurricane blew through. It is better than Walmart, I will give it that, but it genuinely needs a little love. Every-time I am there I can NEVER find a shopping kart, the staff is genuinely so rude to me when I ask for help, and I can never find anything because everything is thrown around or in the floor. I’m not gonna stop shopping here because it’s not the worst but I really hope to see some improvements while I am here.

This store looks like a bomb went off. If I could give it zero stars, I would. There was an old Starbucks cup sitting on one of the shelves with mold and bugs in it. The Starbucks is always closed. It seems difficult to express the words I’m about to say. As a person who has been to this Target several times. It pains me to say this last one will be my last one. Consistently when I go here, I just leave with unsatisfactory expectations. It’s the closest Target to where I live. Unfortunately, I am no longer going to make an effort to go here. There are never enough shopping carts. I always have to go out to the parking lot to even shop. If you go especially to the Toys aisles there’s always and I mean always some kind of drink that is left there unattended. Which shows that they don’t clean their shelves. I came with friends once the other week and all of them were laughing and joking around at everything that was left on the floor. Yes… There were clothes, toys, even produce on the floor. First off, that gives the impression they don’t make effort into their general appearance. Second, what kind of person would want to consider buying groceries they have seen on the floor? Also, I seem to never have good service at checkout. They always make it feel like I am obligated to do self-checkout. Sometimes it’s even the only option they give. Personally I like when cashiers help me. I am not the most tech savvy person and these machines often confuse me. Then the staff sometimes, very rude, won’t attend me for some time expecting me to solve the problem on my own. Having this said, goodbye Target on Rivers Ave. I’m taking my shopping elsewhere.

I would give zero stars if I could.
This store is trashed. Every time I have come in over the last year the merchandise has quickly become a disaster. There are more items on the floor and in random places then where it should be. This target has been my go to for everything; clothes, groceries, teacher supplies, etc. ever since it opened. Now it is a stressful experience and I try to avoid going. The employees are constantly on their personal phones instead of working on theirs areas. Today I witnessed a female employee kneeling on a pile of messed up clothes in the very front of the store, while scrolling through TikTok on her phone. I watched her for a few mins before she ever realized I was there. Is this standard for your stores? Instead of organizing the area in front of her she was being paid to search through her personal social media. Then I witnessed two employees arguing over store safety. Neither of them showed any realization that I was standing next to them in the checkout line and could overhear their conversation completely.

They use maternity section for clearance and EVERYTHING IS THROWN EVERYWHERE. I walked by the boys clothes and everything was on the floor. They do not care about standards. I don’t know if it’s the customers but people would be more inclined to put things back if it was clean to begin with.

Saw a drink in the aisle when I was shopping for candles over a week ago and it's still there. Also, witnessed management berating staff in front of customers and being very petty. The conditions at the Walmart next door are far better.

Wow- went in to grab a few things this morning. Whole store is a disaster- piles of clothes under nearly every single rack and shelf, toys all strewn about. Incredibly difficult to find anything with a proper price due to the way everything is tossed about.

Functionally no different than a Walmart at this point so why pay the Target premium.

This is by far the worst target I have ever been in. There’s always no carts. Today there was no carts no wipes and no soap in the bathroom. It is always a mess, which makes it extremely difficult to navigate with a cart. There’s also never any cashiers readily available so I’m forced to check myself out. If I wanted to check myself out I would’ve applied for a job there. I knew better than to go there today but I needed a few last minute things and didn’t have time to drive to Mount Pleasant. I will plan ahead next time to avoid this target at all cost.

Used to be one of my favorite stores to shop at but lately this location is a mess with things thrown everywhere, primarily self checkout, and very little space to move around in the clothing aisle. With all of the mess I have routinely been forced to leave my cart in order to grab items.

When I say this store was an absolute disaster that is an understatement. I went in with the intention of purchasing a few fall clothing items and I honestly couldn’t even walk in the clothing department it was as if a toddler was there before me and threw every item on the ground. It is to bad, I shop this target frequently but I think today was my last trip to this store specifically.

Corporate really need to give this store a visit and provide them with the assistance they need to get the place cleaned up.

The absolute worst Target I have ever been in. Can't believe they're was a molded drink justsitting in the shelf. How long would that have to be ignored for that to happen?
The store had clothes on the floor in several areas. Items miss-shelved everywhere and several issues with trash just sitting around.
First time I have ever been in a target where you couldn't see a single employee anywhere in the store. Just 2 employees at the check out lane. Maybe this site is short staffed but I couldn't possibly imagine how it would be okay for the store to look that horrible. Got disgusted and ended up leaving wuthering making a purchase. Just didn't trust the store.

This location is huge and clean. We were in and out.

It was also very easy to find what we were looking for.

As much as I love Target and the convenience of shopping there, I knocked a star off because I seldom go in and find an employee manning a check out lane. I don't actually mind checking myself out, but there are times when I would much prefer to have a Target employee do it for me. The staff at the store are professional and for the most part the store is clean and well kept. Having worked for Target in the past, I am familiar with the way things rum and have an appreciation for what the employess are tasked with on a daily basis.

I’ve been in Walmarts that run a better store than this. Really. This has to be the absolute worst Target I’ve ever been to. I think I counted a grand total of 5 employees in the whole store. Long lines, dressing rooms closed, and a manager was nowhere to be seen. And don’t even think about calling the store…they won’t answer. Just go to Walmart. At least the stuff you buy will be cheaper, and the experience will be about the same.

We came in here at 730 on a Wednesday evening. The dressing rooms were closed and when we tried to find an associate to ask.if we could try something on- we could not find anyone. They also would not answer the phone for the store. It would ring and then someone would pick up and hang up. There was no one at customer service. There were 2 cashiers open and only 2 registers at the self checkout so a pretty decent line. I'm pretty sure there were maybe 4 employees in the entire store. Worst target experience ever.

The most trashed target I’ve ever been in. Looked like nobody had put anything away in weeks. Was not at all the get away I needed. Would have been happier at Walmart and that’s really saying something.

I’ve been to targets all over the country- in big cities and small towns, and I’ve never had such a consistently poor experience. I’m shocked one of the recent reviews claims it’s well organized… every time I’ve gone so far it’s an absolute mess. Went recently to grab some quick clothing items, but the entire women’s department was a complete disaster. Reminds me of trying to shop at hollister back in the day haha. clothes from all departments were mixed in to every rack, so if you find a random item you like, good luck finding more and in the correct size. Fitting rooms were also closed, so I ended up only grabbing one thing because I didn’t want to get a bunch of stuff that didn’t fit. Another recent visit, my husband and I were looking at bedding and again, everything was mixed in randomly so if we were looking for a particular kind of sheet, good luck finding it. All types, sizes, and color ways were randomly shelved haphazardly. Additionally, the bullseye area was tiny and lacked the special cute items you can often find at larger targets. Finally, every time I’ve gone, it just has an overall chaotic feel. Crowded, kids running around screaming and apparently unchecked by their parents. I realize kids are going to have their moments but it’s rare to see/hear so much noise from so many sources all at once, even at other crowded targets. Just an overall unpleasant shopping experience… the Walmart up the street is more organized and easier to shop by far, which is imo a bit surprising.

Been shopping here since they opened the joint. STILL the best spot to stop for clean restrooms on Rivers Ave; that saved me when my children were younger! 🥲

I don’t care if the store is messy or never has carts or if we haven’t received the upgraded renovation like the other Charleston stores - this is MY store and I love coming here. (Would love the upgraded layout, though. 😉)

Completely disappointed. I have been here often but never saw it like this. Every single aisle was a complete mess with clothes on the floor, things is wrong places. I only saw 1 person organizing and cleaning up. So disappointed.

The store has been very messy the last couple times I went there. Clothes and products all over the floor. I had an employee snap at me in front of other shoppers because she thought I was opening a container. Some other shopper had wrecked the hair product section and I was placing a product back in its container (which I then purchased). Was pretty embarrassing. I get they have a lot to deal with, but it was not very professional. I told her what I was doing and she just said, “oh” and walked away. I just thought it was rude to assume and maybe she should have asked if she could help before accusing a customer. I avoid this store since these last few experiences and go to the one in Summerville instead.

This place looks so trashy. It’s like it was hit by an earthquake and a hurricane at the same time. Everything is disheveled. There’s palates of stock in the aisles and walkways. If I didn’t see the red target logo everywhere I’d assume this was a Walmart.

Thank you Jodi and all the other associates at Customer Service who couldn't figure-out how to get my pick-up order of two items pulled. Im thoroughly impressed by your ability to tell me ALL the ways you couldn't help me for 15 minutes rather than spend 5 minutes grabbing the two items. Even more impressed that when I offered to do your job for you, you still couldn't see it as solution. You'd rather me wait another " at least 25 minutes." Kudos to your problem solving and customer service skills. I've gladly taken my business elsewhere.

least helpful target I’ve been to. employees did not care that I placed an order and they sold the product I was picking up and it was then out of stock. do not order from here. drove 30 minutes here because the website said it was in stock.

Very nice Target. It is clean, well lit and organized. They have a nice variety of food items. The Magnolia section is really great. It is easy to stay in this store, grab a Starbucks coffee and look around.

Target in N. Chas. has a kind, helpful staff. They also have just about anything you would want or need at an affordable price. Most prices, although not all prices, for name brands are better than most other stores. A large variety, fabulous store!

I came in today 02/20 and a target employee by the name of Natalie, who was assisting the self checkout area had helped me with my transaction. I had a issue trying to use a coupon and she assisted me the whole way through. I got to save money on my items thanks to her. She provided premier customer service. I hope she gets acknowledged for her hard work. Target is the best!

I learned that not all Targets are created equal as far as experience is concerned. I've been here a few times and it was ok but today was special. I was surprised at 1) we had to retrieve our own shopping carts from the parking lot. Literally my fam of 6 and another 2 moms behind us sent our partners to find shopping carts. 2) They were unapologetic about the "waiting line" it was producing and 3) didn't acknowledge it at all. I think there was a staffing shortage there. Nonetheless, carrying kids makes it tough to find shopping carts. I was fortunate to have help. But saw plenty of parents without any additional set of hands.

Target socks because they had 2022 lego sets and my son went to buy them and when they said they were streetdated he stared crying super hard .

Website experience was user friendly. The pick up location inside the store was not posted/identified. The store employee that assisted was very friendly, professional, located my items and placed them in my vehicle.

Went to Walmart 1st thinking it'd be faster and cheaper than Target. Not so on any of the above! Walmart's shelves are EMPTY , as usual,and you have to search for an associate even for the Christmas Season. We stopped at Target. Not only did they have the exact item we wanted but also at the same price!! We went inside and the associate was very helpful and we left very satisfied! So don't be afraid to go try another store over Walmart thinking they are more expensive. At least they have a selection and ppl to wait on you for basically the same price!!
