Went in for an appliance that another Walmart closer to me didn’t have in stock. I checked online before coming to this location and it says there’s 3 in stock. It took me about 10 minutes to find someone to ask for help. The first associate walked off from me mid sentence after I asked her if she could check. The second associate insisted that they didn’t have any in stock because “she was in the back room looking for it yesterday” I work in retail and I understand how inventory works but I would’ve gone above and beyond to at least check or give a recommendation for a similar item. Because if my system says I have 3 then more than likely I have 3 and if not adjust it in the system. After walking down another isle, what do I find? The 3 IN STOCK items in the wrong area on the very top shelf. A little disappointed with the guest service. I get it, probably annoying and they’ve probably been asked that same question 10 times however you signed up for a customer facing role. Ridiculous!!

4 registers open. 50 people waiting in 2 lines. Self checkout closed, classic walmart, always sucky and not operating the store as it should be operated.
Edit: self checkout to only be used if you have the walmart app. You can get a 30 day free trial and then pay to use the app afterwards either monthly or annually. So they want you to pay them to use their self checkout, just to pay them for your groceries. Ridiculous.

That is by far the best Walmart I have ever been to. The experience was amazing and they had a ton of awesome displays. They had bedroom, kitchen, and living room displays which were on point. They had very clean and shiny floors and they even have a build a bear!! Everything was amazing, the only thing that could have been better was that they had no ice. If it wasn’t winter I would be mad but since everything else was amazing, I can’t complain about silly ice.

I have the app that I pay a membership fee for. I have done scan and go with Sam’s club for years so I am not new to the system. I have done scan and go with Walmart at least 8 times, never had an issue. I just left the store with the worst experience ever and I don’t have high expectations for Walmart employees either.
I scanned the 40 items in my cart as I was going through the store. I got to self checkout, said hello to the attendant and she said nothing back. I scanned the QR code at the register, she watched her phone and paid me no attention. She slowly walked over to my cart, scanned my wine, asked for id and after putting in my birthday she erased my whole cart.
She told me to pull it up on my app which I couldn’t because she erased it so I had to rescan everything. After I went to weigh my last item of spaghetti squash on the scale a second time she told me register 19 was open and I could go there.
She was the worst employee I have ever encountered.

It took 3 people to open the glass for razor blades and while waiting on the lady to go get help, loss prevention is at the end watching me, another loss prevention is looking through the pegboard. The one by Charleston International Airport. The food aisles were not neat. Especially the candy aisle. There was a Cadberry chocolate bar, with a bite taken out of the corner and then left on the shelf.

I love shopping at Walmart. But it has its flaws. First is you can never get any help in the paint department. 2nd is they need more check out lanes available at all times. They went from cashiers to self check out. Now It’s self check out card only, Walmart + with express check out, and/or cashiers with extremely long lines and long wait in line times. It’s ridiculous that a lot of the time. They will have most of the self check outs blocked and not in use. GET IT TOGETHER WALMART. OR YOU WILL LOSE MORE BUSINESS TO AMAZON.

Don’t go here!!! Don’t ever go here! The shopping is fine but they have no order for check out so it’s chaos and they get mad at you if you go to a lane that’s not lite up but there’s a cashier checking out. There’s no self check out for 15 items or lower so you left in a pile of people and carts. I got out of there and went to the Walmart on Dorchester. I got my cart out of the way and left.

The Walmart, Tanger from years back was awful. I mean AWFUL! I didn’t step foot in Walmart for many years until recently. They are REALLY stepping up their game, specifically at this Walmart. The quality of items has gone up majorly! The layout of the store has changed, with great clothing options. The customer service has increased TEN FOLD!! There is still a bit of work to be done, but no longer are kids just walking around doing whatever they want while on the job. It used to be SO bad!! I love the diversity of the place with workers that seem to care. Again, there is some work to be done still but I am happy to say that i have found a new love for Walmart again! Whomever is changing the way this store operates KEEP IT UP!! And THANK YOU!!

Good products and prices, but this location has changed to a new checkout system that has everyone in disagreement with one another
Self checkout is available only to Walmart Plus members (whaat? Pay more to be an employee?) and the line for regular checkouts appears at first to be an equitable solution, waiting for the next available cashier. But then we're directed to funnel into a line and wait like we used to in individual lines.

There are a lot of empty shelves 😔 It makes it hard to get groceries when there's not much there. I ended up getting a few things, but I had to go somewhere else to get some of the 'missing' items.
Update: now that they have remodeled, the shelves are fuller, but it still leaves something to be desired.

Waited over an hour for a pickup order never got it this was after it was scheduled for delivery and the driver said it was attempted it was not i was home all day then they never came out to the pickup parking went inside the Walmart employee was very rude at the pickup department told me to go to customer service went there she was rude told me she would call someone to lawn and garden no one ever came there either ultimately had to cancel my order the employees here are rude and incompetent.

Went to the electronics section to get a HDMI cable and everything was locked in case. Asked an employee behind the counter for help and she said we had to wait for an associate to come with a key. Got tired of waiting and left.

I got a coupon for my sons formula to use at any walmart. This walmart has all formula behind a locked case, which I can understand it being a highly stolen item as it is a necessity. That being said, I pushed the button 3 different times to get an employee to come unlock a case. I talked to one employee doing online shopping, and all she told me to do was find someone in apparel because they usually have a key. I then saw 2-3 employees eating food over a shelf of clothing and talking instead of working. If you're going to have items behind a locked case, have employees easily available to unlock said cases. I ended up walking out with nothing and having to find somewhere else to buy my sons formula because these employees couldn't do their job.

My husband asked a lady to help him and my son get something out of a case she told them ok she will be right there.N return I stood in my husband’s spot while he stepped away to the restroom. When the lady saw me she acted like she couldn’t see me I asked her two times for help before she turned in said oh you need to go stand in line. And wait why I got to get in line went you said you going to help. A lot of first time experiences here. As I entered, a guy is yelling at me that Walmart won't let him in with his dog. I then quickly find my single item and go to check out. There are two lines that merge together in the middle of the front with about 30 people in line. And then there's an employee who tells you what register to go to?????? Do we really need to be told? And then I didn't see any self check out lanes but I read somewhere here that you have to pay to use that lane anyway. Why would I want to pay extra to do the work myself??? What is this world degrading to?

Figured, I would update my review. Haven't shopped at this location in over 6mos because of the poor service, lack of stock, and outrageous wait tubes to check out. I still only give this place two stars. Other than a layout revamp to the store, nothing is changed! Always regret my choice to try shopping here.

This Walmart has nothing in stock, and employees that were very unhelpful. I was in line behind 2 people at the dressing rooms and the two women (employees) that were there barely acknowledged us and then proceeded to ignore the fact that we needed assistance.
When I was ready to check out; with the few items I actually found, I had to wait in a very long checkout line due to so few checkout lanes being open.
Not sure if I stopped by on a bad day, or if it's always like this, but I'm going to have to go elsewhere to get what I need. I might give this place another try but if it's the same experience; I'm avoiding having to ever go here.

Looooonnnngggg wait for pick up.I had to call to remind them I was outside waiting and it made me late for work. A whole grocery order based on the ingredients for swedish meatballs, that I was to cook for the office that day, and they sold me everything but the meatballs. Not one bag of frozen meatballs to be found in the whole freezer department when I ran in to look and make sure of, but online says available! I was left with no time to shop elsewhere!!!! Embarrassing to show up with no food at work.

I can get used to the new merchandise locations but not the checkout configuration or the bad condition of the merchandise. If so I guess I’ll do more shopping at Amazon. I had to pay $18 for a pair of reading glasses. This location did not carry the multi pack (much less expensive). Again, Amazon is looking better and better.

They say you have to be a Walmart plus member to use self checkout. Now as a Walmart plus member, they asked me and still said that I couldn’t check out. This store is absolutely pathetic at this point. No self check out, no cashiers… it’s not worth the hassle.

Nothing but lazy employees! It’s going to be the last time that I’ll come to North Charleston’s Walmart! I’ve called 4 employees and all of them were like sitting ducklings looking around and not saying and that that I was waiting an hour for aisle k34 to get refresher for my car and 2-3 young employees saw with a need to get one and didn’t acknowledge me so I’m done waiting and instead going to the one in goose creek! Better service than North Charleston Walmart nothing but a bunch of lazy people who get money for free!

Today I needed something for my disabled patient. So I called Walmart so as not to have to drive the gentleman all over town. I called 4 different Walmart locations and no one answered. This store answered and then hung up. I will never shop at Walmart again!!!

4 registers open. 50 people waiting in 2 lines. Self checkout closed, classic walmart, always sucky and not operating the store as it should be operated.
Edit: self checkout to only be used if you have the walmart app. You can get a 30 day free trial and then pay to use the app afterwards either monthly or annually. So they want you to pay them to use their self checkout, just to pay them for your groceries. Ridiculous.

The new layout of the store was confusing, the aisles were mislabeled and the one associate I found willing to help did not know where anything was either. The only self check out was not labed for Walmart + shoppers only, and the associate who was working that area was incredibly rude when she told me that it was Walmart + shoppers only. The prices were ridiculous high. It was not a good experience, and it males me not to want to shop at Walmart any longer.

Needed something behind the glass in healthy/beauty and was told to wait in line at the pharmacy to have it unlocked. When I reached the front of the line I was told by the clerk I had to wait for her to get the line down before she could help me. After waiting in line for 15 minutes. Ridiculous.

Bad service and no update !!!
On the website is show money service close at 11 pm but they close 8 pm. And I come 8.01 pm wait until the line is end but they don’t help me. You should to change time on the website because it make people and waste time.

As a customer and parent of a child who work here was disrespected and threatened and i was the one who got put on a trespass call corporate letting them know i was wrongfully accuse got a reference number and they said this situation was going to be investigated and that was over a week ago call corporate back and they said they will not be investigating this issues and the district manager will not be calling back I would have to wait a year this is not how any customer should be treated

Stopped by Sunday to get a picture frame saw everyone in single checkout line only 3 cashiers. The self checkout kiosk now for Walmart + pay to shop. I just left the photo frame and went to @Home. Seems pushing lines to get people to fork over for Walmart + where already have to pay for Sam club. Avoid this location. Least West Ashley still has self checkout kiosks
