Community Coffee House
Finally able to stop by. Outside not so inviting so you definitely need to stop and come inside. Had a tasty strawberry lemonade and plain waffle on a stick. Took a bit to get my order but there were very busy the day I stopped by. Would like to come back again and try something else. Nice place.

Great spot to grab coffee and a snack! The overall building looks very unassuming from the outside, but it's quite large and well decorated inside. There are a lot of chairs and tables to sit comfortably.
The coffee came out fresh, which was warm, rich, and smooth.
They had these delicious smores waffle sticks which were warm and fluffy. They came with ground grahm crackers, gooey marshmallows, and a chocolate drizzle.
Would recommend giving the spot a try.

It's a shame to be writing this review -- I'm not one to normally write one much less a bad one -- but this experience was both disrespectful and disappointing. The reason for my visit was mainly for their advertised family friendly environment, not so much their coffee quality. There is a specific play area dedicated for children of various ages (infants- school aged children) with a coloring table, play kitchen, grill with play food and other things. During my visit, the AC was broken and there was a leak from the roof. Although it was pretty warm inside, my children were excited to get waffles and play. While they were in the play area, one of the workers came up to me and told me to keep my children quiet because the other workers needed to study for a test they have tomorrow. We were the only ones there alongside a friend and the workers and no child was screaming, crying nor yelling while in the play area when we were asked to keep them quiet. They were playing restaurant with the toys provided. While there, they missed two items from two separate orders they needed to be reminded of because as they said, they had a big test to study for. When asked to speak with the manager, the girls got sassy. If there was a big test that they needed to study for where it affected the service quality and ability to have a coffee, waffles and socialize, the owner should've closed down the shop, especially with no AC inside or schedule someone who would be there to do the job and not ask their paying customers to service them while on the clock. My kids are great kids and are pretty well behaved when we go out. If they were doing something inappropriate or breaking anything I can understand asking me to control them but their behavior did not include anything that needed that kind of intervention. To be shamed for being a mother while out with their kids for a treat when they weren't doing anything wrong was disrespectful and outrageous. If you have young kids with the intention of going for a treat, find another place instead.

I welcome places like this in Dickinson but this one needs a lot of tweeking. The staff was friendly in helping us out since it was our first time. They have a big selection of drinks and types of waffles to choose from. The order took a little while since some thing were made fresh... My hot chocolate was chocolate flavored truck stop water. My daughter order a cookies and cream waffle... 10 minutes later they came to the table to say someone made the batter wrong last night and she'd have to choose another, understandable. 5 minutes after that they're explaining to my wife that they misplaced the strawberry sauce and can't make her strawberry waffle... My daughter's hand squeezed lemonade was just water with a dash of lemon... The "Waffle" just isn't for me, I'm sure some people would love it but it's a pancake on a stick ... The decor/ furniture there is very nice but the dark paint on the walls and the temperature being 10 degrees colder than outside winter makes it uninviting. They have a good layout, games for the family to play and playsets for children. Bottom line is I really want this place to work. things need to be tweeked, baristas need to be trained, and do something about that thermostat...

This coffee shop in Dickinson is what we have all been looking for! It’s spacious but still cozy. It’s a coffee shop that’s friendly to all ages (which I love as a mom to teens and toddlers).
The coffee selection is vast and they even have an AMAZING craft snack (or even meal) menu with their waffles. This is my new go-to location as a work-from-home mom but also as a hang out spot with friends. ✌️❤️☕️

This place is so cute and has a great atmosphere. My husband and I went, I got the Caramel Macchiato (half sweetener) and he got the Cappuccino. Both were made really well and we sat down to enjoy them. They have a great kids set up and a lot of options. I will definitely be coming back - this would be a great place to host a game or trivia night.

Poor coffee, poor service, poor experience
Sell household quality cups of coffee at expensive prices while providing terrible service, not family friendly. Save your money.

The only issue I had was that the waffle was undercooked in the middle. I brought it to the baristas attention, he apologied and brought me a fresh cooked serving. The second batch was perfect 👌

It was cool to see younger kids coloring or playing with the toys. Great place for any age. Free WiFi! Which is a great place to do homework or just to read! In the area and was wanting something other than starbucks so stopped in here, not busy at all, everyone there before me had their items, I've been waiting for 30 min so far and the 4 people that came in after me have been served their orders. Hoping I get coffee at some point...probably should have gone the starbucks route.

Inside is very bland and almost sanitized with the fluorescent white lights of an office space, paired with all the evangelical Christian music makes for a crazy atmosphere with no theme
The food and drinks are great though, would recommend a green tea or cappuccino

Great local coffee shop! The dirty chai latte and Texas Pecan brew are both great. Service is usually very good and prices are fair. There is lots of space and reliable Internet. They even have a little play section for young kids (although I've never seen it being used). If you're tired of soulless corporate coffee chains, check this place out.

Seriously, the BEST roasted coffee we have ever had anywhere! The custom waffles are excellent 👌 Owners and staff will make you feel right at home. Your children will enjoy Steam Kaffe as much as you will savor every sip of your coffee. Coloring station and play areas will keep your little ones entertained while you relax! We highly recommend Steam Kaffe 👌

Update 10/28/2023
Steam Kaffe is now Ugly Mugz (the same shop from Webster) they now have a different menu- drinks and waffles! Waffles are delish- so many flavors to choose from. They also have family karaoke on Saturdays and worship days. I recommend following them on FB for the scheduled times. Met the Ugly Mugz owner today and she was super sweet.

Update 9/29/23- We are currently hooked with their Coldbrew and the Pinkerton drink! The baristas from last weekend and tonight were super friendly and crafted our drinks perfectly! The apple turnover that I tried was delish. Love, love this coffee shop ❤️

A newly opened coffee shop on FM 517 in Dickinson next to La Tulteca and has plenty of space with no frills coffee and tea. Great friendly service and clean establishment. Had an iced espresso and cold brew with cream although they gave us whipped cream on the cold brew instead of creamer but it’s ok lol 😅 Baked goodies looked delicious so will definitely try that next time. Our first time here and definitely not the last!

I requested a black medium roast coffee, but was served a dark roast. They were very accommodating and served me a medium roast after I mentioned something.
Personally I would have like something of a lighter roast or a coffee brewed with water maybe a bit less hot.
I went while it wasn’t very busy on a Sunday afternoon, and they only opened a month ago, and I prefer a bit of a quieter environment than that of say Starbucks.
I hope that they are successful.

This was my first time at Steam & I’ll definitely be back. So excited that we have a local coffee shop nearby! I had the large iced vanilla latte & asked them to only do 4 pumps of vanilla vs the 8 they normally do & he happily did as I requested. The barista & cashier were both very welcoming & friendly. Loved my drink & the atmosphere. Excellent place to study, work with a different atmosphere or catch up with yourself or friend. It doesn’t look like a typical coffee shop in the outside but it’s definitely worth checking out. Prices seemed good 😊 as well.

My go-to for any new coffee shop is an americano so I can get a feel for how good the espresso is (plus I just love them and am always looking for a good one). I have to say— this was the best americano I’ve had in the Bay Area! I love how they serve dine-in drinks in mugs instead of paper cups— that’s always a plus. My husband got an Irish cream latte, and it was good. Lots of foam, if you like that. Lots of tea options (even some decaf black) as well as latte flavors and other typical espresso drinks (real macchiato, cappuccino, etc). I usually get decaf espresso if available but didn’t ask this time so I’m not sure on that. The decorations are nice and there’s sooo much space! I really hope this place does well. We will definitely be back to try more drinks!

Doesn't look like much on the outside, but covers aren't meant to be judged! Really beautiful interior and a nice welcoming atmosphere. Prices are good and for just opening as a small business, a good selection of food and drink. My medium hot tea is served with 2 tea bags and not 1 like most places. They serve a wonderful brand and have several choices. This is a must visit.
