Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Hands down, some of the finest food in Draper we've tried thus far. Clean bathrooms too. We will most definitely be going back. Highly recommended!!

This evening around 5:30 p.m., I made what will be our last and final purchase ever at Gourmandise Draper. My wife and I have tried time and again to give this location a fair chance, but tonight sealed it for us. I went through the drive-thru to pick up three pastries. Although the drive-thru was open, no one answered. I eventually drove up to the window, but still, no one noticed me while the staff sat at the pass in the kitchen and chowed down on food. A consistent theme we've faced the last two times at this location. Frustrated, I got out of the car and went inside.

Once inside, I found the pastry selection was barely worth the effort. I picked up two eclairs, which turned out to be bland and flavorless, and a slice of tiramisu that was equally disappointing. This has been a consistent pattern with the Draper location—a lack of hospitality, structure, and quality.

We’ve officially given up. I’ve had better eclairs from Harmon’s, and there are far superior options in the valley, like Tulie, Bakery Forty Three, and Beaumont Bakery & Café.

The downtown Gourmandise is still exceptional, but Draper’s location is sorely lacking in management, organization, and a team that cares about its patrons. For us, it’s not worth the 5-minute drive anymore. Good luck to them, but we’re done.

I order a cake for 830am. I was running late. I got there at 9 and it still wasn’t ready. They told me that the reason it wasn’t ready was because it was placed the night before. What type of excuse is that. I’ll just stick with the Salt Lake location. Never has any issues with them.

I did not expect to have as good as of an experience that I did while going here. As far as I am aware of, this place is known for their desserts. I have yet to try one. Their other food though? Fantastic. I had the French dip and it was amazing. I need to revisit this place to try out their desserts.

Gourmandise isn’t what I hoped it to be. It is a franchise and I think it shows in the quality. The food is decent but a bit overpriced for what you get. Though everything does feel fairly fresh here, I just think you there are better options in the area.

Had lunch today. Asked for Avocado toast. It was served on shriveled up baguette with flattened guacamole as Avocado. Side of eggs were fried in oil rather than over easy . After speaking to the server she came back saying Manger is aware of the issue of how they serve this dish and how people complain about the Avocados!! They don’t care! Place was loud and definitely will not go back!!

I was really excited to try this place but the service was pretty poor when I went there to eat brunch. It wasn’t busy enough to justify the wait and the food while it came out fast my potatoes were not cooked at all. My waiter didn’t come back to check on my food until about 20 minutes later and by that point I just wanted to leave. The desserts/ pastries were pretty great. I would go back to do take out again.

We are huge fans, after today we probably won’t be back.

Terrible service.
Ordered tart for Thanksgiving. Agreed upon to pick up at 10:30am. We were called on way to pick up tart that it would not be ready until 12. It would be nice for prompt notice not a half hours notice before pick up time.

Ordered to-go sandwich. Sandwich was made and delivered to wrong patron. Proceeded to be like we don’t know whose sandwich this is. There was 4 people in the store. Didn’t want a sandwich that sat out for 15 minutes, delivered to wrong table and no apology.

I would have been very happy with an apology, understand that it’s busy, and sandwich made promptly given mistake. No customer service existed.

Manager rude. Said she could only void payment and not provide any evidence that payment was void. No apology. No excuse for the waste of 30 minutes of our time.

We got seated (on an unstable table) and we were not helped for about 15 minutes. We had to flag down a waitress to at least get a glass of water and then get our order taken. People came in after us and got their food right about as we got our water. The food was pretty tasty but almost every menu item had squash in it. The place felt cramped, we had waiters squeezing past us with trays while we were in the waiting area.

My one complaint is they use the cheapest nasty alcohol for their cocktails. I get it Dented Brick is local and you are trying to support local business. There are so many better choices. My opinion of Gourmandise drops every time I visit. It’s always noisy, crowded, and dare I say there’s damn near nothing vegan on the menu anymore.
Your best bets are the avocado toast (ask for no butter on the toast) or the hummus plate (which is the one and only item on their whole menus that seems to need to modifications to make vegan).
Most menu items cannot be made vegan, according to one server.
Give it a pass and hit Sweet Hazel instead, far better service, far better food, far better people, all plant based.

It’s been a long time since I’ve asked for a refund on any food I’ve ordered, but today I had them refund my pastry. Not only did they send me home with the wrong pastry, the croissant they gave me was not good. Hard and dry on the outside, filled with overly-sweet raspberry filling on the inside. Nothing about it screamed “French pastry;” I ate two bites then threw it out. I was very disappointed (for many reasons).

We have been going to this restaurant close to 2 years, and we kept coming back. However, over the last several months service started to deteriorate drastically, from bringing wrong orders to getting semi-warm soups. Today was the pinnacle of stupidity: we got a table, and waited for a waiter. 15 minutes in a lady brought us water, mumbled something about a server (did not hear what), and left. We’ve waited for another 7 minutes and finally left without ever seen a server.

This place was my favorite go-to and I was a regular here. Was.

Great food, kind of expensive, and unfortunately experiencing shrinkflation on the portion sizes over the last few years. 10 min wait, but for a freshly made, perfectly gooey and crunchy steak and onion grilled cheese sandwich it's exactly the right amount of time. Don't pay for salads here, they're small and not as fresh as places up the street. Stick to soup, sandwiches and pastries and expect the cost and time associated with fresh made excellence.

This place is TERRIBLE.
I just went to pick up my order which was supposed to be ready by 5PM.
First on the drive through the person cutme off as I was telling I came for a pick up to tell me to drive to the window.
Then at the window they asked me if it was food or cake and my name. Maybe next time LET ME TALK!
Then a few minutes later I am told the food was not ready and to park and they will bring it to me.
25minutes later I FINALLY get my food which was DEAD COLD!
Went in to get my money back and saw the manager. Asked to speak with her and the person that got me the food went to her and I am sure was explaining the issue...but the manager was "busy" to talk to me. So had to wait even longer to finally talk to her and get my refund.
AVOID this location at ALL COST!

I see they replied about an excuse for the manager. She was NOT dealing with any bathroom issues. I could see her bending over right in front of where I was checking something else behind the counter area and hardly a face of "emergency". More like I don't want to deal with an upset customer attitude

Oh I forgot also to mention that while on the way I got a call that they couldn't modify half sandwiches only full ones..first time ever we get that and then why low it on the website????
Your excuse is very poor

I had an incredibly disappointing experience a gourmandise recently. I went in to grab a quick takeout order, but it turned out to be anything but quick. There were only three people in line ahead of me, yet none of us were ever attended. We waited for what felt like an eternity without a single acknowledgment from the staff.

There were plenty of servers walking around, seemingly busy, but none of them bothered to help the people waiting for takeout. It was as if we were invisible. After standing there for so long without any service, the three of us in line gave up and left. It's baffling how a place with so many staff members could have such poor service for taking out orders. I won't be returning, and I certainly won't recommend this place to anyone.

If you're thinking about ordering to go, save yourself the time and frustration and go somewhere else.

We love their croissant pastries with toppings. Delicious, well balanced flavor, fresh, and beautiful - 5 stars in that department. But unfortunately, the 3 different cakes we bought from them over the last year, are sickly sweet. Even my dad , who loves sweets, can barely finish a slice, because of the overwhelming amount of sugar in them. When paying $30-40 for a small cake, while it might look amazing and mouthwatering, I would much rather prefer to taste richness of flavors, than be overpowered by taste of bland sweetness. Unless the bakery will adjust their recipes to create more balanced product, we don’t really feel like trying again for a while. Sadly. The cakes truly do look amazing.

The food here is decent….if you can get it. We came here for weekend brunch a couple of weeks ago and the service was SLOW however the waitress was nice and the food was fine. We tried again today and after sitting at our table for 25 minutes and asking for our waiter twice we left without ever being greeted. The hostess was nice although prioritized rolling silverware and wiping tables (of which there were plenty) over greeting customers. This place is in desperate need of a manager to get focus and priorities in place especially on the weekends.

food was so good, and it came out super fast but that’s lowk it. our waitress didn’t check on us once and we waited 15 minutes before getting drinks taken, i order an egg on my burger and my bf ordered no onions on his sandwich, neither add on / removal was fulfilled. out drinks never even came out.

If you are visiting from out of town or out of state, Gourmanise (with several locations around the SLC area) is a rather good place to get pastries and food. They are certainly not the level of quality that you will find in Europe, but for this area of the US they are better than average.

Most recently I tried the Peach which is made of up of two sweet brioche rolls soaked in peach syrup, filled with cream custard, and rolled in sugar. I found the peach far too sweet for my liking and could hardly eat it. In the past I have also had the Strawberry Mille Feuille (Strawberry Napoléon) which is layers of pastry and cream custard mixed with fresh strawberries. It had a better balance of flavors but the pastry was a little bit soggy and it could have had a stronger punch of strawberry to balance out the cream. The chocolate tart that I have tried there was quite rich and could have used something acidic to balance out the intense chocolate flavor. I also had a vegetarian burger and pomme frites, which was quite tasty. However, I was originally served a meat burger and had to have my meal remade. The server was quite apologetic and I was given a free dessert.

The service is good, though the interior can be loud and it's not exactly a relaxing place to eat. Due to the layout, eople enter into the dining area and can go to the counter to order the baked goods, so if you or your family members have sensitives to noise and crowds, you may wish to take that into account before visiting.

Good food and great pastries. My favorite is the raspberry eclair. Their triple chocolate mousse cake is also a winner. Good salads as well.

Such a cute place to get some good food and amazing pastries. The chocolate croissant and cannoli are so delicious! Can't wait to come back to try more. Lots of great options on the cafe menu, but if the wait is long for a table I would still take some pastries to go.

Dining in is definitely preferable to the drive thru in terms of food quality. Our server was great but everything was pretty under seasoned and unremarkable. It was OKAY but I don't recommend any dish.

Very good food! Service is a little slow and I wish they had more side options, but the delicious food makes up for it! Also please invest in some crackers to go with the delicious soup!

Delicious, fresh food. Cozy atmosphere, obviously doubling as both restaurant and bakery. They seem a little understaffed and likely need to hire an additional waiter and/or host in order to have the same quality of service as their food merits.

Knowing how they treat their employees and how they skirt their health inspections definitely turned me off to this place.

I haven’t had a bad tasting entree or dessert here yet. I love their Butternut squash and Sage pasta. They served it quick and I started eating it and forgot to take a photo of the delish goodness. 🙂 Their salads are great and to end the meal with their tasty carrot cake is a bonus. You will not be disappointed.

We go here for dessert and coffee often. It's a little on the pricey side, but the quality is good. One thing I wish they did better is when they hand you the electronic check, you only see the total, so you don't know how much to tip, which automatically causes me to tip less.

Needed a quick gift for a great physician. He loves cupcakes.
Hmmm... Gourmandise doesn't sell cupcakes even though they advertise they do. So, I got a great piece of delicious cake instead and he loved it. So, all is well.
Thanks Gourmandise!

I have had dozens of chowders in my life. This was, hands down, the worst clam chowder I have ever had in my life.

It was so bland and watery. Even adding the Ol' salt and pepper didn't save it. The bread bowl was toasted until the bread was crumbly, not even the delicious, warm doughy sourdough bread I usually look forward to.

My girlfriend's French onion soup was equally as bland.

Great staff, clean restaurant, but my god do not get the soup here.

I still find it lucky to have a Gourmandise here! I loved visiting in slc, and glad that we have a location in Draper. It’s the perfect brunch spot, or for a quick fun chat and get together. Some of my favorites are the different chocolate desserts (like the mousse cakes)—sooo delicious. I also like the Almond Horn, which can also be a good gluten free go to! The passion fruit mousse cake? Is a crowd pleaser among my family and friends.

Went this past weekend and had some pastries to dine in on the patio. Me and a friend got rice pudding and it was great! Shortly after we were seated I could see an employee was having a conversation with what appeared to be the manager. She was giving the employee a hard time and it made us uncomfortable. If you’re going to get your employees in trouble don’t do it in front of customers! I was honestly really starting to like the place and thinking of recommending it to some friends but now I’ll have to reconsider after that whole fiasco!!!

I was recommended this place from our airbnb hostess and I ordered a white strawberry chantilly cream cake, and several pastries from out of state while we were visiting and stay at a Airbnb. Everything we ordered was amazing, delicious, fresh and they did a beautiful job decorating the chocolate to go on top of the cake. thankfully I had a hostess who was wonderful that helped coordinate and picked up everything for me, I would definitely recommend this place. The service is wonderful. Their response time is quick.
