Not sorry but these guys are garbage. busy or not they simply just don’t care. I spent 11 hours trying to get my prescription filled. Unfortunately there automated system would either hang up or would make me wait for ever then transfer me to there cooperate which I was then hung up on 3 times. My doctor called multiple times seriously ALL day. And this kept happening over and over to us both. Currently waiting at the pharmacy hopefully they give me the correct medications and I don’t die or something. There biggest excuse is “we had an insurance issue but I’ll push it through” !!! 👍. One day ima be a Walgreens pharmacist hopefully if I’m cool enough

Good selection. My clerk was Gil, and his name badge said he was in training. Could have fooled me. He knew the current sales and I saw him save the person in front of me about $20 by pointing out how they could qualify for the discount. He was extraordinary polite and friendly. I was very pleased and impressed. I don't think you get that kind of service many places these days. Well done.

Harmons seems to be a good grocery store. They usually have what we are looking for and restock their shelves quickly. The prices are a little higher than other stores but you get a bigger selection and sometimes higher quality and sometimes not. Just be aware of what you're buying.
The employees have always been pleasant and good to work with. With each transaction.

Our go-to grocer in the area. Never have any complaints, however, the young man working the register this afternoon needs a life lesson in customer relations. This kid (tall skinny dirty blonde boy) I presume is a high schooler and was such a lazy, rude, condescending little brat who needed an attitude adjustment. Harmon’s, if you know who I’m talking about, please teach this kid how to work with customers or send him on his way.

I shop at Harmons 4 to 5 times a week, in general customer service is always amazing, friendly, polite, and professional. But I’ve gone to the bakery twice in the last six weeks and both times the same gal has Been very rude and acts put out that she has to help me. Nowadays with so many options to shop in it’s very frustrating to be treated that way and in a customer service job! she shouldn’t be working with customers. I believe her name was Gabby or Abby?!? younger girl with dark brown pair. Needless to say, I will not be shopping in the bakery department from Harmons again.

Good tasting food, didn’t have a great experience with picking up a catering order.
Ordered mini sliders for an event I was hosting. When I got there, the deli only had 1 of my 3 platters and said my order for the other 2 got lost and it works be 10 minutes for them to make the rest of my order. 10 minutes later they tell me that they don’t have the right bread so I can wait 15 more minutes while they make more or I’ll have to do different rolls. Well I have an event I need to get to so I guess I’ll take whatever you’ve got. They told me I could take something off the premade shelf while I wait. While that was a nice gesture, I spent $150 on sandwiches and they offered me a $7 treat. I feel like more should have been offered given I waited almost 30 minutes past my pickup time and had to settle for something other than what I had ordered. I will say the sandwiches tasted great though!

Well this more has to do with how this place conducts business. I am very concerned by how this place treats the senior citizens that work there or worked there. I am appalled at this modern day and age that the type of treatment still happens in a place of business. My mother who is almost 70 years old worked at that company for ten years only for them to get a change of management and for her to be treated horribly. She has a muscular disease and years prior had submitted her doctors paperwork only for the company to lose it and with new management tell her they will not reasonably accommodate her. Shame on this company, should get a lawyer.

I like this grocery store, and I shop here about once a week because it’s close to my home. The employees are courteous. But here are a few things I have noticed through the years. 1- the Harmon’s in Sandy is oftentimes cheaper than this Harmon’s. 2- this Harmon’s is typically under stocked on many items. 3- all Harmon’s stopped carrying my favorite Kampucha: “Live Spicy Cherry Berry”.
But overall, a good, local grocery store.

2024-03-10 visit
Our cashier was heavy handed with our groceries. She overloaded one bag and when we got home the handle broke and completely ruined a pie.we.bought for a birthday celebration.
I took the pie, receipt, and paper bag handle back to the store.
I asked the girl who was monitoring the self checkout where I could find the manager. She looked around, pointed and said, "She's on number 3." I went to the #3 check stand and quietly told the woman that I would need to talk to her after she was done ringing up the customer. She turned and looked at me like I was from Mars. After ringing up a couple more items she asked what the issue was
I told her there was an issue with one of the cashier's - who happened to be at the next lane.
BTW her check stand light was off and no one else was in line.
While she was finishing with the customer, 2 more customers showed up in her line.
When she was finished with the customer she began to ring up the next customer and told me I should go to the customer service counter. There's no reason this manager could not have taken a minute to hear me out and replace the pie. Isn't this part of why Harmon's has higher prices? To provide great customer service?
So, I went to the customer service counter and waited a while before someone arrived. Lauren heard me out and.said to go get a replacement pie.
I feel like Harmon's dropped the ball on several levels today. It wasn't an issue with just one employee.
I expect better, Harmon's.

Halloween candy was clearly mislabeled. When checking out the teller didn't say anything and then walked away. She came back with a supervisor. No greeting or anything. He approached me like he was waiting for an altercation instead of a normal approach. I didn't use a bad tone in any single way. Just a very odd and unfortunate experience. I started to realize walking out of the store that they may thought I was trying to get the candy cheaper or something?
I am not accusing them of anything, but it kinda seems like that is a very advantages position for them to be in, get so many people to pay the higher price that don't realize it.

Because I live close by I shop at Harmons for just about everything. Even though I know they’re more expensive I guess I pay for the convenience. Of course I have a foodie card and hopes to get some sort of a discount on their higher prices. recently, I decided to get gas there put my food card in and it said I had $.25 off per gallon. That’s pretty good so I hit. Yes it started pumping any amount of the gas on the pump was just a regular price so I thought OK they’ll discounted at the end. Nope charge me full price and give me my discount. My receipt says I got a discount, but they charged me at the pump. The rate that was on the pump. Not sure where my discount went because it sure didn’t go on my credit card. Being in a hurry, as most of us are at the end of the day I have the receipt in my purse and drove away. It wasn’t until I got home and took it out to put in with my other receipts that I noticed, I didn’t receive my discount. I will be contacting the store and give an update.

We have shopped here for 15 years. This store is a clean, limited to no wait time and the cashiers are overall are friendly. It’s Harmons so you pay a premium. With that, the deli services has gone down hill. IMO- Food quality is not the same and the staff is not as friendly. Limited on the deli favorites offered for many years, no or limited ambrosia, frog eye salad and others.

If you are thinking about buying stuff for a party or just want some suggestions for some good stuff there is no better than this. The service here is 100% the top tier, always wanting to help out, or even give out suggestions. Yes, the food here is steep in price but it evens out with the service, which is one of the best ones I've seen in a while. If there is one person I would like to highlight is a cashier named Margaret. Margaret has been with the company for years and is honestly one of the best cashiers there in case you want to get some goods or even just some suggestions for goods, not to mention she is extremely knowledgeable in her craft and can assist if anything unexpected happens. Every employee knows their stuff/are always willing to learn and is always able to help out, and I surely wish the best for this company and staff as a whole.

Prices are out of control. None of the berries in clamshells looked good so we grabbed pre-cut strawberries. When we got home I realized they were $14.99/lb which meant our small bowl of not quite ripe strawberries cut in half were $25. This is an outrageous markup and makes me lose trust in Harmons. I know they are more expensive but that is wildly overpriced when a 1lb clamshell at most stores is $2.50... making these unripe cut in half strawberries a 500% markup... that's just greedy.

The specialty items are what keep me coming back, but $6.50 for a loaf of bread coupled with bad service is too much. Glad I wasn’t assured and saved some money.

Overpriced, understaffed and getting worst by the year. This place takes advantage of customers and employees. I considered working there until I spoke to people who do, and realized the level of dysfunction going on. Now I won't even shop there, especially since they are understanding departments, but increasing their prices.
I think it has put me off all Harmons stores, permanently.
Edit: Also, they leave one guy all night working in meat alone. What if he cuts himself on a machine, or slips, and no one is there to help him? Everytime I come at night and see thay, I'm horrified that the manager here is so irresponsible. A lawsuit waiting to happen.

I bought them on the 23rd when I shucked them early in the morning on the 25th six of them or 33% were bad. Other stores have never gone higher than 10% bad, if any. What business can honestly expect to survive if 33% of their merchandise is faulty.

I have always liked this Harmons, is my store. I come here often. But, recently they have started asking for donations at the check out. I understand the holiday season everywhere is asking but I have not been to anywhere as aggressive and unfriendly as Harmons at 11400S. The lady at the checkout ask me for a $10 donation when my bill was only $9.29. When I told her No, she give me the weirdest look and responded. “Are you sure?”, I told her. Yes I’m sure, she then asked “How much can you do? I told her no unthought that would be the end of it. Then she went on and ask me to rounded to the next dollar. This went all for a very awkward minute with people behind me.
Harmon needs to understand not Everyone walks through their door is able to donate , especially when every other store is asking for donation this might not be the place they want to donate.

I used to shop at the Bangerter Crossing store, which is much closer, but a few weeks ago I happened by the 114th location and was shocked by the difference.
Love that I don't have to do jumping jacks to get the attention of the Deli team, instead they make eye contact, take my order and skillfully prepare it while I shop.

I like Harmon’s but asking for ID and giving a hard time for Budweiser Zero is a little crazy. It’s 0.0 alcohol. I’m 44 years old and quit drinking. I like that you carry Budweiser Zero. No one else does, but c’mon. Pull down mask, etc, is a little much for something that has Zero alcohol.
That’s all.

No I wont wear a mask over my nose. It took three un-informed employees and a manager to finally push me over the edge, and I will gladly never step foot in another Harmons again! I was informed that the mask I was wearing was not covering my nose sufficiently. Thanks for information. However once you started to reverse my check-out you stepped out of line.
I wear my mask as a courtesy. I get tested monthly since I had Covid in June. I have had strong antibodies ever since. Some people, like the ones at this Harmons location seem to take the CDC recommendations to far and enforce their personal belief (not policy). As a result Harmons has lost my business and most the people I know are on board.
Im not here to argue the effectiveness of masks, only the validity of this level of incompetents, knowledge, and policy.

Harmons is of course EVERYTHING you want in a grocery store but today I need to share with you my experience with the Del/Bakery. In handling my Mom's funeral I realized a traditional luncheon was impossible so I decided on box lunches. Harmons put together 60 of the most amazing box lunches for us. The kitchen manager helped us choose 3 of your mouthwatering Artisan sandwiches and they added a generous portion of fresh fruit, a package of chips and a rich brownie in every box. Almost everyone at the luncheon came to me to tell tell me how impressed they were of what you put together. I can't thank Harmons and their kitchen manager enough for making a very important lunch for me so phenomenal! I highly suggest that if you need something catered that before making a decision you check what Harmons has to offer you. I think you might just be impressed too.

I received your ad in my E-mail and was glad t to see your 5 for $20 was back and wanted to pick up a few other items in your ad. I checked the date to make sure the sale was on and headed to your store and arrived around 10:30 a.m. only to find no pork chops when I asked at the meat counter I was told "We haven't got them out yet maybe in an hour" I told the gentleman I'm not going to be here in an hour and your sale is going on now! all I got back was "SORRY!" so I bought some bones for my dog asked if he could cut them in half as they have done before and was given an abrupt "NO!" no reason why just no. so then I went to pick up some vegetables, again in your ad, I couldn't find what I was looking for and I asked the person stocking if they had what I wanted. He checked and told me "No we didn't get any."

Hey say hi and greet people instead of texting and talking amongst yourselves!!! One bad experience here. Usually love coming here with my son in the morning.

Our family has been loyal customers to Harmons for years, and I will not be going back. I have had WAY to many instances with the management being very overbearing. Customer service is nonexistent at this store and it is not worth it to shop there.

Update - I had an issue today involving their mask policy, and their manager Tyler was EXCELLENT to talk with. I have a medical condition (no, really!), so I found a mask that meets the governor's requirement for a face covering listed on his website, that would also allow me to breath. I've been wearing this at Harmon's for months, dozens of times at least - I'm really not trying to cause a scene, I just want to shop, and to breathe. Today I was told in the middle of my shopping that my mask wasn't allowed. The employee wasn't really able to tell me why I was able to wear my mask in the past, nor what had changed, but said I either had to put on her mask (might as well tell me to hold my breath) or leave. As I said, I'm not in to causing a scene - it's their store, they set the rules - so I left and called Tyler from their parking lot for some clarification. We had an excellent discussion. He gave some insight into how their policy has evolved, and why. While I feel the initial interaction I had with the first employee could have gone slightly better, Tyler made sure I felt completely valued as a customer - he went beyond my expectations.
Our favorite grocery store. Wonderful employees.

Harmons, my family and I have been loyal customers for years. I will respect your mask policy, and will wear a mask if I choose to shop at your stores. I DO have a problem with your management team confronting my wife, who was wearing a mask, but my 4 year old son wasn't. Your team instructed my wife to get a mask for my 4 year old son. She explained his age and was told that he still needed a mask. He doesn't even need to wear a mask at school, but to go into your store with his mother, he does? We have tried to be respectful of your policies, but that is over the top. Get serious!!!

I love this harmons. They always have everything I am looking for. Chad is an absolute sweetheart!! So positive, willing to help, and extremely knowledgeable. I also had an awesome woman at checkout named Joan I believe.. thank you both so much for a very positive experience (:

The store is clean and stocked. My issue is with one checker I get everytime I go. She's rude, never says hello and today gabbed with the bagger the entire time. I really want to name her. I won't.

I am okay paying higher prices for quality services and groceries. But it is frustrating to pay more and find employees who wear masks with their noses uncovered. Management claims that all employees wear them but there is no enforcement. This evening three out of four were flaunting the policy. I observe that on every trip. At the governor's news conference yesterday he emphasized the importance of everyone wearing masks. Angela Dunn, the state’s lead epidemiologist, said the one thing we can do to keep our state safe is wear masks.

Stopped in today to get some flowers for my niece. (in the hospital pregnant going through a very sad situation w/ her unborn baby boy) and your floral dept manager (I didn't get her name but she had a red shirt on and I think red hair) helped me pick out a few different flower types and some greenery and put together the most beautiful bouquet. I really appreciated her time and expertise today! THANK YOU!!

Having grown up in Salt Lake City I have always held Harmons in the top of grocers in the state. Recently our orders have had rotten fruit and the customer service end was lacking.

Was a bit too busy for my liking today, especially with the COVID-19 measures in place (for those who actually follow them). Seemed out of quite a bit (not necessities that I was needing but there were quite a few empty shelves). Usually a really good store with great employees. The employees were still excellent today!

It is a store that I want to like, but my few experiences there haven't been reasonable. It is close to my home, but I will be going out of my way to shop somewhere (anywhere) else. At this particular Harmon's , management needs to address the customer service skills of their employees. On one occasion, I asked for the location of the frozen section, and I received no response other than the employee gesturing to her right, no smile-- no words. That's weird, right? I chalked it up to "someone's having a bad day", and made the mistake of returning to this store another time. This time, I made the cardinal error of asking the Health and Hygiene manager, since there was none, when might be a good time that I return to look for some vitamin C. The way she treated me and dealt with my question was by glaring at me in utter contempt and responding with a clear and loud "I have no idea." If taken at face value, it might not seem like that big of a deal . But, this occurred when I was quite completely at my wits' end-- repeated attempts to acquire the much sought after vitamin C for my elderly parents proving to be fruitless, mind you-- and a grocery store employee who clearly has not a single thread of empathy for those in need.
Now, I look back on the experiences in this store, and I realize the fact that their shelves are mostly stocked in the middle of the day when many other stores are running low-- and I think it could be because their employees are busy scaring everybody away. If you must shop here, just don't interact with anybody working there and you should be fine.

I've been a loyal customer for many years, but was bothered when they jumped into the political arena recently. This morning, I took my elderly father shopping at the Sandy store during their first 7-8am "special" hour for the elderly and vulnerable. It was a mob scene - the Harmon's employee at the door told us that they weren't at all prepared for this exclusive early-morning hour and it was evident once we were inside. The shelves were effectively bare - as if no re-stocking had occurred overnight. And they had only two checkers working for most of that hour, so the checkout lines were 45-60 mins long. I had stopped at the store the previous day at 4pm in the afternoon and the shelves were largely full (except, of course, for toilet paper) and there were no lines. So save yourself some pain and go to a different grocer or go in the afternoon when they've stocked shelves and there are smaller crowds and more checkers. Terrible and unfortunate experience!

Always a good place to shop. The store is always clean and organized. Some of the prices are a little higher than other places but I believe you are getting a better quality product. Staff is friendly and you can often find unique and local products.
