An excellent Bakery with delicious fresh pastry and beverages. We like the seasonal options a lot.
At the

We are in Bellevue for a couple nights at Courtyard Marriott for Black Friday and Snowflake Lane festivities. This place is a short 5mins walk from the hotel if your lucky enough to get the morning sun their location gets a good enough sunshine 🌞 to get that crucial vitamin D.
My first time I ordered their ham & cheese croissant with Belgian mocha for drinks.
Second morning I had their eggs Benny with ham.
This place can get busy so be prepared to wait for some tables as patrons leaves.

I was super excited to discover this place this morning but it was very soon disappointed because of the experience. I spent $51 to order a Fraine breakfast and an avocado toast. When the server gave me a “French toast” I realized they probably made the wrong order. I told the server and she said she needed to consult the manager. Then the manager came to me and said “ we repeated every order. If you want avocado toast, you need to make another order.” Then she left the French toast with me, which I never ordered and never like the dish. I am not sure if I indeed made a wrong order, or the person took the order made it wrong. But the manager definitely ruined my experience here. I left the French toast untouched on my table.

Ordered Farine breakfast through DoorDash. The menu item advertised crispy bacon or turkey sausage. I chose a “… sausage” as the only option item when placing the order. The way the sausage was titles sounded suspect. I attempted to call to confirm. I rang twice. Each time waiting for 3 min to no reply. I called my DoorDash driver and he gave the phone to a staff. I asked to verify if the sausage was turkey and he mentioned it is beef and turkey. To that I responded I don’t eat beef or pork and the listing advertised turkey sausage patties. The staff said too bad they don’t have turkey. So I asked to substitute for avocado since I don’t eat beef or pork. To which he replied this has no pork. To which I had to reemphasize it had BEEF 😫. Then he says too bad the order is already made and hung up. Extremely rude staff and below par service. They did not respect dietary restrictions even if you make them aware of it.

The Bellevue location of Farine seems to be a bit more accessible than the one in Redmond, especially with ample outdoor seating. The space gets pretty loud with the bustling crowd and exposed surfaces. Baked good selection drops rapidly as it gets closer to closing.
There's a large parking garage in the building, with the entrance located around the corner, off 112th Ave. NE. Be sure to register with the ParkMobile app for two hours of free parking, as enforcement can be rather aggressive.
This Belgian café features a wide variety of baked goods, both savory and sweet, as well as some other plated dishes, like farro salads. They also have a lot of interesting drink options. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with large windows and outdoor seating (some with umbrellas). It can get very crowded on the weekends, which can also result in quite a lot of noise.

Been coming here a long time I usually come once a week. But the French toast was terrible at the Redmond location today. It was really dry . Bread was stale. When I tried to point out the problem politely, all they could offer me with a pastry after spend $28 with tax and tip . They offered no way to give me a gift card or credit back my money or anything else.. They didn’t ask any questions. Really poor customer service!

Lovely place, a sense of fine Bellevue people here, VCs and comfortable
mother daughter breakfast meetups. Just bring your credit card and order a cold bakery item would be my suggestion. The bakery part looks very nice, rich range of options, baked lovely. Handsome young staff, no homeless or sketchy people, just nice in the Bellevue vibe kind of way.
We came here after a successful operation to celebrate with a nice breakfast.
Worst experience ever. Waffles soggy and cold, strawberries fermented and hull attached, no butter, had to ask, butter (and syrup!) also cold. Cold strawberries cold butter refrigerated maple syrup and COLD WAFFLE. Is this a Belgian thing I never heard of? And a simple drip Coffee: I said, is that really 16 ounces? (Didn’t look like it.) Yes. And if I want a refill must I wait in that line again and order another? Yes. Great.
So if you want cold soggy (from strawberry juice) waffles and translucent (do you think the stem a.k.a. hull of the berry should be taken off first, like me? Ugh) disgusting strawberries and have to ask for butter and syrup then please come here.
I won’t be back at mealtime.

The food was fine, the lines were extra long but they were moving pretty quick, there wasn’t enough tables available so we were standing until some people left, which was a little bit annoying. We went on a weekend so it was expected, so you might want to consider other places on a Saturday!

The location is cozy and has a good ambiance, but unfortunately, there aren’t enough power outlets available for guests. It can be inconvenient for those looking to charge their devices while working or relaxing. Adding more charging stations would significantly enhance the experience for customers, especially in this tech-reliant age.

Update: went back 2 more times in hopes things were better but not expecting much and they got my order wrong both times. Placed it well ahead of time online as well and when I mentioned that it was wrong they were visibly upset that I asked to get my full order that I paid for. Said before I would still come by from time to time but now just absolutely can’t come back here and support with how often they’ve been disrespectful towards me. So unfortunate I really wanted to like this place 😞
Have come here often and will prob continue to pick up breakfast from time to time but man the customer service here is probably some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I understand we may not all be feeling too ecstatic to be at work or maybe it’s a little early to be having to take peoples orders, but it’s never failed that all except for one individual that works the front taking orders has the worst attitude and makes you feel like you’re in the wrong for simply trying to place an order. My order is 4 scrambled eggs, but you would think I asked them to completely redesign their menu or told them someone slashed their tires with how upset and unwelcoming they are. This is always the case and it’s so unfortunate as the food is pretty good albeit a little pricey for what it is, I just wish they could not even smile but just not be so outright rude towards their customers.

Their pastries are delicious. They have a good variety of dishes and other drink items; though limited to coffee and latte drinks, matcha and a small selection of brunch alcoholic beverages. Would recommend Farine for a quick catchup. It does get busy after 10:30 and harder to find a tables and seats to dine-in. However, the staff is extremely friendly and quick on their feet for recommendations.

Pros:
-Food is great
-Coffee is great
-Your order comes out fairly quick given how busy they get.
Cons:
-Too loud. I basically need to yell at my friends when chatting
-It’s first come first serve type, so wait time is no guarantee whatsoever especially if you have a party more than 4 people
- They will “kick you out” by tapping their watch if you’re sitting for an hour and still have food/drink in your plate/cup. If you did not list the time limit, and we still have food and coffee, this is horrible customer service. If you have a limit, list it on your website or a sign in the shop. Or maybe you did but I didn’t see it anywhere.

I was really looking forward to enjoying breakfast here, but my experience was quite disappointing. I tried to call them about 7 times before writing negative feedback.
I spent $70 for breakfast and left a $10 tip. My 12oz drip coffee was served in a 16oz cup, but it was only half full. When I politely asked to have it filled, I was told I had ordered a 12oz coffee, but they only had a 16oz cup. I’m okay with that, but if you’re going to use a 16oz cup, it should be filled, not left half empty. I explained that I cannot serve half-empty cups to my guests, but he insisted he couldn't give me 16oz since I ordered a 12oz. It made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable, so I had to request a paper cup instead.
I then tried to give feedback to another staff member, suggesting they avoid serving coffee half-empty, but he brushed it off and asked, "Why not?" It felt like they just didn’t get it.
To clarify:
Serving a half-empty cup is embarrassing for me, especially when I'm hosting friends. It should be a concern for you as well.
There’s a basic principle in customer service: the customer is always right. This rule exists for a reason. It shouldn't be hard to provide a simple 2oz of drip coffee to meet a customer's needs.
I don’t feel the tip was deserved in this situation, and it left me feeling foolish.
This experience made loose apatite, and didn’t complete my favorite Farine Breakfast. It made me feel that customer care and basic hospitality are lacking here. I hope this feedback helps improve the service for future guests.

Dangerous being this convenient to work. On the bright side, it's always ridiculously busy with the line out the door and it's one of those places with breakfast hours that closes pretty early so less opportunity for me to spend money. I've only tried their caramel latte for drinks and it's wicked delicious that I just never try drinking any other coffee when I need coffee which is rare because I'm somebody that likes to constantly try new things. Finally got around to trying their food, breakfast croissant was slapping. This cafe is very spacious, great to work at or meet up with the girls for brunch.

I come here a lot and food is very good but today I had a similar experience to one of the other reviewers. Came to Farine with my kids and ordered a lot of things, including a cinnamon roll. When I tried removing the paper it came with, half of it was stuck to it so I took it to the counter and expressed my issue. They said it was expected to be like this, that I had to remove it with a fork (basically eat it with the paper) and then they passed it around and back to the kitchen and then back to me. I then said that that was unacceptable, and so the barista offered me to talk to the manager and I declined and went back to my table.
Later, the manager came to me to address the problem but it honestly was mainly to tell me how “disrespectful “ I was to the worker? Honestly? You ruined my experience and I’m a 100% allowed to go and talk to someone when the food doesn’t meet a certain standard. In any way I was disrespectful, I disengaged when I was sent back with my roll and didn’t want to make anything else out of it. But Victoria decided to come to me and basically victimize their staff for what I wanted ti say … not worth it, specially for how overpriced they are.

I also tried their Merguez sausage today and it was fantastic! They have relatively large serving sizes. Weekday brunch was the least busy I've seen it, but it was still nearly full. On busy days, wait times can get long and seating can be very difficult to find; I just wish they had more seats!

Typical shiny Bellevue horror-spot. Much like an airport bar. My breakfast sandwich was good but cold. No refills on coffee. Not the fault of the servers or even the business. Farine Bakery in Bellevue is my new found favorite. The seating is very inviting, the food is delicious with generous portion. The price is reasonable. The only reason for a star deduction is for the loud noise. This cafe is very popular locally and many patrons visits there. Hence, the noise level is high but the interior and extrior design is trendy and I love it.

Delightful bakery and breakfast spot. The croissant eggs benedict was incredible—the croissant was perfectly flakey and the eggs were well poached. The kale cheddar and cherry chocolate scones were wonderful as well, with great texture and moisture without being too buttery. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast potatoes—they needed more crispiness and flavor. You can eat outside on the deck, which is nice. They have some healthier options like avocado on rye with labneh and pickled onions.

The food is great and staffs are really accommodating!
As it's name Farine, meaning "Flour" in French, their name stood as you take the bite of their breads.
The star of this place for me was the baguette and their rye bread with tons of seeds... I could eat it all day.

Not one to usually leave reviews however my experience was pretty poor and as a new member to this community I would like to share.
I waited over an hour between waiting in line and then waiting for my veggie sandwich.
I had enough time to finish my lavender London fog.
The gal making drinks in the cafe didn’t even look up when I said thank you.
It wasn’t until someone finally noticed I was waiting for a while and asked me my name.
At this moment I wanted a refund after dropping $30 on a sandwich/pastry and tea.
As the gal was about to give me a refund my sandwich surprisingly was finished. Should’ve gotten the refund.
Now I’m sitting here eating the sandwich and am pretty disappointed. No flavor, and super dry. All around a not so great experience.

Lovely country bread, nice her bed lamb+beef sausage, and (appreciated by those of us lactose-intolerant), they're happy to cook eggs and potatoes in oil, not butter. A comment re lactose: over half the population over 50 is to some extent lactose intolerant, so these days there's no practical reason for progressive or classic bakeries not to include bakery items that use yummy Cocojune yogurt in place of yogurt/milk/buttermilk and Earth balance non-dairy butters... as the result these days can be absolutely equally good. And bring in customers such as ourselves much more frequently.

This is a great place for brunch, one of the best in Bellevue. The pastry was fantastic. I loved my eggs Benedict on a croissant. Coffee was great as well. However, for an order at the counter Cafe, it was very expensive. Just under $100 for 4 small sandwiches, 1 pastry, and 2 drinks. Everyone loved the sandwiches, but the side salad is just mixed greens drowned in vinegarette.
The service was a little lacking, we were seated outside and didn't know our drinks were done and my coffee got lukewarm. To be fair, if I'd known they were going to make it so fast I would have just waited inside. The food come out pretty quick. Service was polite, but not exactly friendly.
The ambience is casual and it's a little higher up so there's some decent views. If you have cash to burn this is a great place to do it. The pastry and coffee is definitely their forte.

Food is great, getting a spot any time of day - even a slow week day - is not guaranteed.
Have tried to take out of town folks here and have yet to work out - I'm talking parties of 3 too. A larger group? It's not worth trying. Wish they took reservations so they could take my money and show why I rave about this place but it's truly a free for all and not worth the uncertainty if you are truly hungry. As it is casual, some patrons will rightfully linger after eating and or drinking.
Luckily other lunch areas are around and aren't as crowded if Farine doesn't work out!

The business model works great for adults by themselves or with other adults. As a parent with a toddler, despite the plethora of high chairs, it was a rather terrible experience.
The people toss your food on the table and run away as fast as possible without talking to you. Having a small kid it wasn’t feasible to make my way back inside to try and figure out where the orange juice went, which was too bad as it was for my kiddo.
It would better serve the customer if there was an option for everything to be brought to the table if you’re buying both items from the case and items from the kitchen. It was a nightmare to juggle a toddler, several plates of baked goods while trying to find a table, get a high chair etc.
Anyways we left without the probably expensive orange juice, and despite the excellent food it just wasn’t an accessible or welcoming environment.
But if you’re a ‘crabby mid management in tech’ kind of adult trying to not be in the office on a Friday this is the place for you and you’ll be surrounded by your crabby and unpleasant peers!

I would advise caution to any future diners that value quality customer service and food safety.

Probably the best tasting brunch + bakery on the East side of Seattle. There's a wide variety of selections to choose from, especially the croissants. We got the pain au chocolat, vanilla eclair, ham & cheese croissant, creme brulee cruffin, lavender london fog, belgian mocha.
All of them were so good. Pain au chocolat has just the right amount of chocolate filling inside without being too sweet. The crust of the croissant is so crispy and has just the right amount of layers inside so it's not too chewy. The ham & cheese inside the croissant also gives off a really good aroma.
London fog is well made with just a touch of lavender smell and not too sweet but not bland at all. I really liked it!
The staff were all super friendly and the order same pretty quick. Additionally, everything is priced reasonably. 10/10 would come back

Disappointed with the service here. I recently went to Farine with a friend and in her salad we found crawling aphids and small bugs. We informed our server and not only did they question us, they asked us what we wanted them to do about it. The server Iandra questioned my friend for proof, stating we were eating outside and that my friend had already eaten some of her food. The rest of us did not have any bugs in our food. As regulars, we are disappointed by the service and attitude of the staff at Farine, and disturbed by the food quality. We will not be returning.

BUGS IN MY FOOD. I am not one to typically leave reviews but am extremely disappointed with the service here. Today was my first time at Farine and ordered the seasonal quiche, which comes with a side salad. I quickly saw multiple bugs (dead and alive) crawling in my salad and informed the server, requesting a new dish without the salad. Iandra, one of the employees, responded disrespectfully and asked for me to prove where the bugs were. Before I could point them out, she took my plate to the back and said the kitchen saw nothing. The lack of accountability and disrespect left myself and my company feeling upset and gaslit. I would strongly advise you to go elsewhere. I will not be returning.

Our recent visit to Farine Café was extremely disappointing and concerning. During our meal, we discovered bugs in one of the salads we ordered. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, particularly manager Iandra and the owner, we were met with disrespect and disbelief. They went as far as to gaslight us, making it seem like we were imagining the situation.
The lack of accountability and professionalism from the management was deeply unsettling. Instead of addressing the issue and taking responsibility, they chose to dismiss our legitimate concerns. This not only ruined our dining experience but also left us feeling unheard and disrespected as customers.
We strongly advise caution to anyone considering dining at Farine Café, as our experience highlights serious flaws in their customer service and management practices. It is essential for establishments to prioritize food quality and customer satisfaction, which unfortunately was severely lacking during our visit.

Best pastries on the eastside, hands down!
They have good breakfast and lunch options. Their prices are quite good as well. $3 for the best croissant in the area.
Seating can be hard, but that’s because it’s so popular.

The Latte was good! However the Kale and cheddar scone was phenomenal. I definitely recommend grabbing a pastry here!

Double americano was very good, solid 3 stars, but the real star of the show was the fresh baked mocha croissant.

My new favorite breakfast spot!!! Feels like you went to Paris! A+ bakery, salads and coffee. Took a bag of granola home- excellent!
So fun to sit outside in the sun and enjoy a treat like brioche French toast with strawberries! Free easy parking in Bellevue is great. The Redmond location is good but very little seating.

Everything was really good. The reason for the 4 star on the service is because we went to both locations, Redmond and Bellevue, and couldn't find their pain au raisin. Just thinking that if it's that popular that it's sold out early at both locations then maybe they should make more. Anyhow, we had 5 other items, not ones we originally went for, and they were delicious.
Update: Finally got the Pain au raisin on another day. It was good but didn't notice any creme patisserie. Maybe it got baked in.

They are seldomly prepared to welcome their customers, never having enough croissants and tarts. The front desk waitress’s voice also faint to be heard.

You can tell that they use high quality ingredients. I have enjoyed everything I’ve ordered at Farine so far.
Finding seating is a challenge.

The rudest manager ever. So annoying and disrespectful. Hated him. He was a middle aged tall guy.

I picked up my GrubHub order at your Bellevue store today, and I am giving you a bad review because:
1. My order was not ready on time.
2. Your staff treated me as if I was a GrubHub delivery driver, and I can tell that you provide a poor customer service.
3. I ordered a Speculoos Cinnamon Roll and you gave a Chocolate Croissant without telling me anything about that change.
I will think it twice before ordering online from you again, and I may choose a different Belgian bakery from now on based on this experience.
