Spacious fun place. I like the counter decor with the old school sandwich board and physical letters/numbers. Coffee was good, love it can get it in glass mug. Not exactly my flavor profile. Breakfast sandwich was very high quality. Baked good we tried was good. I liked this place, just felt like they were trying to do a little too much. Showed up in decor, food and drink choices. Worth a try, they have some different specialty drinks.

Good coffeeshop for working in Bellevue- plenty of seats and some power outlets, and good wi-fi. The staff are lovely and the space is bright and very tidy. But the food and drinks were a bit hit-or-miss! The spinach pastry was delicious, especially warmed up, but the two specialty latte drinks we tried (one being the orange spice) were quite light on the flavor. The mochi egg tart also had a total lack of any perceiveable mochi, but there was some taro in it (which we didn't expect!). We also got a standard breakfast sandwich which was solid but not notable. They do sell some cute coffee and tea equipment, and jewelry and such :)

Good vibes, great drinks! Stopped here on a whim after seeing the sign, got a Citrus Spice (aka Orange Cardamom Latte) and it didn't disappoint. The friendly baristas are artists in their own right, and the music is perfect for a chill afternoon. Add on plenty of comfortable seating and a neat consignment space for local goods, and you've got a winner. I ended up coming back for my post-run morning coffees every day while I was in town for a wedding, and loved everything I tried. The pour-over coffees are made with excellent beans full of flavor.
Overall, definitely on my list of coffee spots I'll hit when I'm in town.

When I say this place was great I mean it
As soon as I walked in it felt so cozy but not only that they had a whole bunch of yummy deserts on display. After taking a good look at the menu I ordered a cookie and a hot Carmel macchiato. The servers so kind and sweet after only 2 minutes of waiting my order was done they even let you choose your own lids and straws and add hand portecters if your drinks to hot. Finnaly the taste it had a little design at the top and I had one sip and it was the best coffee I think I've ever had in my life. I recommend I'll attach pictures.

This morning I had an unpleasant experience of drinking coffee. It was around 8am and there was no one in the cafe, only the barista guy, so whether he was actually a barista remains an open question. I ordered 2 lattes to go and they were disgusting, he probably added cream instead of milk, the taste was so bad, and he didn't even ask me at first if I was fine with regular milk or especially cream!!! There was absolutely no foam in the latte. I treated my husband and he also said that it was disgusting, we poured out the coffee, it was undrinkable, it's a pity that I had already driven far away when I tried the coffee. A wish to the management, if you have a specialized coffee shop, please keep your quality mark!

Happy they improved the food here recently.
Coffee and vibe have been good and hasn’t changed.
My one issue with this cafe is the wifi. I’m guessing the owner is former tech because they have some overzealous security rules going on.
If you visit a non mainstream site (Google, fb, etc) there’s a good chance it will be blocked. It might become available in like 10min or never, so some strange white listing going on here.
The network will also disconnect you if you try and use a vpn.
I don’t think it’s anything unsafe/nefarious, but I think it’s someone being extremely over cautious or over curious

This place has really blossomed after the rebranding for what used to be Honor Coffee. The quality of the coffee grains, the menu and the overall offerings are better. On top of that, all the baristas are talented and amazing people, and the place has a very inviting atmosphere. I admit I was a regular and that gave me the best exposure of what a friendly place can be, but in the Bellevue area you are hard pressed to find a better coffee shop than this one.

Really trying hard to like this coffee shop, but the Jr. Barista's basic interpretation of customer service kills it for me. They got an order wrong, and needed to reheat an item, and it was portrayed as an epic imposition, and not worth their time. This wasn't the first time I've seen this type of thing here sadly. It just goes to show a single bad hire can have a huge impact.

Thank you to the lady with pink hair who took my order 🙂 She's the kindest. I accidentally spilled half of my drink on my wallet and the table, and she helped me clean it up and offered to make my drink again. I really appreciate you 🩷

It is slightly below average but has potential.
Coffee: I judge stores by their in-house roast and Mocha's, and there is much to be desired here; The Mocha tasted water downed. Their house roast isn't bad. I also tried their new pumpkin spiced drink. I spat it out and threw the cup away, tasted really weird with some seeds inside - just no. Definitely recommend espresso drinks here.
Food: Macrina is the standard re-sell for most people annnnnnd it's here too. Resell burritos and sandwiches, I do not recommend the food. Just make your own turkey sandwich for less cost.
Vibe: This is where Story Coffee excels. They capture a smokey-wood energy that is on the edge of the library meets fireplace. With a calm atmosphere and many laptop users doing their daily jam. The aesthetic is solid.
Overall, Story Coffee has so much potential, and I feel that with a few recipe tweaks and more employee training on slow pouring so that the coffee maintains a morning bliss-like taste. Don't go out of your way for this place as the drinks are on the expensive side at about 8$ range for most of them; good spot in a pinch.

Zero Stars. Ordered a drip coffee and latte at 7:02… 7:12 drip coffee ready… 7:22 about to be late for work now, latte not started, asks for refund… 7:25 latte refund finalized… now a grumpy latte-less girlfriend… I feel terrible for the guy behind the counter. Not sure the situation here on Monday morning, but very disappointing that a coffee shop couldn’t handle 3 groups of people. 7 AM is also not a proper coffee shop opening time… Bellevue is a lost cause tho with the capitalism… anyways I was looking forward to trying this spot, but unfortunately I’ll be going across the street to the French bakery where they made the latte in a minute and had staff that was able to keep up with the morning “rush”
Like how can a coffee shop be so bad at execution in 2024? And why are simple house plants marked up 50%? With the extra 20 mins of waiting around, I gotta check out the entire shop and man oh man those plants are a horrible deal. Just go over to Home Depot and get 5 plants for the same price as one… I bet this all woulda been better if I had gotten my drip coffee sooner. Being so close to Seattle, you’d hope they’d know not to eff with peoples coffee.
Sorry not sorry.
And hire more people whoever the owner of this place is. Or there better have been a call out cuz unacceptable and horrible. 🤘
PS after reading others reviews, this place is hella slow but is supposed to be good 😩 hope y’all have a better experience than we did today.

I recently visited a café and, unfortunately, was left disappointed. Firstly, the quality of the coffee leaves much to be desired: the drink is invariably either bitter or sour, which does not meet expectations. Secondly, the service is extremely slow: it takes 30-40 minutes to prepare coffee, and orders are often mixed up. Thirdly, there is no place in the restroom to change a baby's diaper, and the staff does not provide an alternative for parents with children. Unfortunately, all these points make the café visit inconvenient and unpleasant.

I don't typically write negative reviews but I had a horrible experience here. The coffee is fine, nothing to write home about and for the higher than average price, I expected better.
What was really upsetting was how rude the barista was to me.
I won't go back and wouldn't recommend this cafe to anyone. There are better experiences at cafes nearby.

What a great little spot. THIS is what a coffee shop is supposed to be. The coffee is good coffee. The atmosphere is pleasant. In most coffee establishments these days it is on par with going to a club. It is loud and it is too difficult to have a conversation or do some work. Story Coffee has kept it simple and classy. I didn’t appreciate the staff’s attitude! They made me feel like they’re giving me the coffee for free or something! Very not welcoming! The other thing that the place wasn’t clean!( considering the price of a coffee and the pastry that it’s expensive). And one last thing, when I went I checked the closing hours of the coffee shop and it was at 9pm then when I just ordered and set they told us that they’re closing at 18h30 and I didn’t even had the chance to finish my cake.

The ambience and the staff are great! However, the hot sesame latte that I ordered was barely warm. My wife ordered a turmeric latte which was really really sweet! Turmeric latte should ideally be made without any sugar or jaggery to completely get the benefits of turmeric. Even when adding sweet, it should be minimal but this one had the taste of jaggery overpowering and she could not even finish it.

I am going to start by saying I usually love it here (hence the extra star). As a black man in America I am used to getting wishy washy service from time to time. Today was an outlier instance.
I come in all the time, ordered a hot 12oz vanilla latte. In return for my $8 plus tip I get a Luke-warm cup of foamy milk. I even said thank you twice before leaving (before tasting the latte) the barista ignored me both times. Just bizarre and rude.

The place was packed. However, we were able to snatch couple of seats by the window.
Baristas were very kind to answer my questions about their black tea and as a someone who appreciates high quality teas I had a few ☺️
Let say, I was surprised and impressed by how delicious their tea was! Considering that most times I experience quite subpar quality of tea in most coffee shops I had low expectations but still some hope.
It was delicious, strong, vibrant. I will be back.

I hope this gets the attention of the owner/ manager. The coffee and food is great. The staff is also very good (pleasant, dedicated, caring).
But you are doing significant damage to your people, your customers, and your brand by only staffing one person to both take orders and make orders. This causes significant wait times for orders and is unfair to your employees who will end up being overwhelmed and overworked.
I’ve seen many customers walk out without ordering simply because they were not willing to wait that long.
I suggest you make it policy to have two people staffed at all times to avoid hurting your reputation and ultimately suffer a decline in customers.

Nice atmosphere and open later than most cafes! Menu variety is nice. Try the americano orange if you're feeling adventurous

This place is cozy, which serves specialties on coffee. Recommending black rose and salty jasmine.

Amazing place to meet someone or just work, but just a tad expensive… their Asian inspired bread is pretty on point.

Love Story Coffee & Tea! Perfect atmosphere to hang out, get work done, or relax!

I like this place generally. The pastries are great and so the atmosphere. But there are some drinks which I would not recommend like the americano orange. Maybe my taste is biased but I highly recommend the owner could consider taking it off from the menu… other hot coffee are great

Great coffee and good vibes, the owner is enthusiastic to support local communities, the black rose latte is a must try! They host local pop-up every now and then which is super fun to explore! Check out the Random Soiree Lifestyle pop-up on the right hand cabinet!

The place looks really nice and great if you want to have a quiet place to do some work on your laptop or read a book.
However, my experience wasn't that great though. Even though it wasn't busy (one couple in front of us), service was slow and took forever for my matcha affogato. My biggest disappointment was I had the saddest looking matcha affogato, which I paid almost $10 for. It wasn't even filled to the top, and the scope of ice cream was coin sized that you can barely see in the drink. I took 2 gulps, and that was it, and I've had better matcha too. Save your money if you want to get the Matcha Affogato.

Love this place. Sitting outdoors and indoors. Comfy chairs but also tables for studying (playing). Great coffee and green view. Hours are extended which is very convenient too.

Nice and good place for afternoon coffee. They've got a creative menu and great environment, which made up a very cozy vibe for coffee drinking and reading.
Probably the best place around bellevue downtown area for studying/reading/cozy chats.

This place had a great renovation! New menu, new vibe and new atmosphere. Every detail is artistic and relaxing. And their rose latte is a must try!

Had matcha colada and hojicha latte, both are good. The crews are very helpful as well - I told them I would have the matcha colada in the shop and take out the hojiacha latte. They asked me if I'd like the latte at a later time.

Beautiful space with a lovely drink selection. My favorite drink to order is either the Hojicha latte or the matcha colada but it’s too hard to choose!
