Not a bad little store it has been here a very long time. The store is small but it’s clean, well stocked shelves, great selection and the deli has hot fresh chicken. There’s even a Starbucks inside. When I went it was around 11-12 noon and there was only about 10 customers in the whole store. I do recommend this location, staff was helpful.

Coming in here today, 1/3/2025 @3:44p.m, the manager Robert customer service sucks... Whoever trained him, he needs to be retrained, giving customers an attitude over asking for quarters... he doesn't need to be a smart response saying they are not a bank and people come every day asking for quarters... like, excuse me this my 1st time here in Bellvue location, and this is the type of attitude you throw to customers... like really I'm going to find out who the corporate of this safeway and report how much of a poor service to customers you have... all safeways I go to I never experience this type of treatment asking for just $10 in quarters... Robert, you as a store safeway manager, why work here if you don't know how to treat customers?? Do you not like your job?? I get it. Everyone only needs a job to pay they bills/support your family, but I don't mean to treat loyal customer very badly, giving them an attitude and humiliating them in front of other customers... yes, tomorrow/Monday, I will be reporting you to corporate Robert. Been shopping here for a long time and this is a great Safeway, very convenient location for the area. It's a popular store and sometimes a bit crowded, but easy enough to get in and out of. A lot of the staff at this Safeway have been here for a long time and always nice and friendly. They also have a Safeway gas station at this location which is very convenient plus a pharmacy location here as well.

Bakery was a very bad experience. I went in to order a custom 8 inch double layer cake. The lady in the bakery told me to come back on Sunday to order it and that i couldn't order it that day because it was to far out. So i came back on Sunday and the same lady started to help me order but then tried to tell me the $20 custom 8inch cake would be $400. I was confused by that, and so she told me to just come back tomorrow. i told her she had already told me to do that once and I didnt have time to come back. I asked if I could call and order and she said no. She said I needed to come back when someone else was working and that she couldn't pass the order along to them. I am no longer going to go to this Safeway for anything because of that experience. I ended up calling a different Safeway and they helped me order my $20 cake online and were wonderful.

Hire someone who knows what they're doing behind the cash register. This old man at the gas pumps really is slow and incompetent, took us 3times to get a payment to go through. He literally does not have the concept to function behind the window smh 20min to get gas because he doesn't know what he's doing.

The store is fine, but the customer service is terrible. They are inconsistent on their words to customers and have poor work ethics because it took 30 minutes of announcement to find the original customer service person in the store. ** They literally said go ahead and post a bad review for this store on Google, like they don't even care about bad reviews. I doubt this will change the customer service for the store, but just fyi for others.

I had the worst experience ever here today. My daughters and I went thru the check out. My daughter had everything bagged and in the cart the last thing we needed to scan was sodas which she left in the basket to scan with the hand gun. The associate Dinek/Donika (idk how it’s spelled) came over and told me that we need to leave all bags on the little space I told her we have scanned everything in the cart already. She proceeded to argue with me and I told her well how am I supposed to know that I can’t scan my sodas in the cart I don’t work here. She said oh well wait here. She then called who I assume was the manager Ion over who didn’t even ask what was going on he said I’m going to cancel your whole order and rescan at the actual check out. I asked why he did not answer me he just kept scanning his id to cancel the transaction. My total was $107 I asked him are you accusing me of stealing?? Remember my total. I don’t have to steal anything.. when we get to the new register he starts yanking things out of the cart. My 3yo (autistic) is crying and screaming bc we were already done now we are doing it again. While screaming she is holding a bag, he yanks the bag from my crying 3yo. So of course I say something to him.. All this bc I already bagged everything and scanned my sodas in the cart. He rings everything up and the total comes to 108 bc of the bag fees. He didn’t apologize for the false accusations. I will be calling corporate and making a complaint. This is unacceptable behavior.

Horrible customer service at the pharmacy. I called the automated system to confirm med was ready for pick-up prior to heading over. Anton, tech, stated they had been put back & weren't available, that I had to come back another day. I told him I verified prior to heading over & that I didn't mind waiting for them. They're important. He stated no, that Id have to come back. I didn't budge so he stated, "we'll give them to you this one time," & literally grabbed them from a little bin right behind him. I felt like stating, " I thought you stated they had been put back & not available," but I didn't. I thanked him & walked away, but his lack of consideration is disgusting. My meds are a necessity to my health. I am taking my business elsewhere. It's one thing after another with this unprofessional & unorganized pharmacy.

Staff were rude when I asked for help getting a cooking liqueur out of the cabinets (it's locked and the sign says to ask the cashier for help...). The young male ginger-haired guy was nasty for no reason and acted like I was causing a nuisance by asking for help. Be nice to people please.

Much improved over a few years ago. Gone are the vaguely reminiscent Breaking Bad RVs in the parking lot not to mention obvious dealers at the doors of this Saway. Meanwhile the staff has been upgraded and especially the Pharmacy Staff is A+. The bathroom is very suspect and needs some attention but the main store area is entirely reasonable.

I had a really bad experience in the deli. I frequent Safeway but I can’t return to this location because racial experiences are highly traumatic for me. Granted it was nearing close, but I stood there waiting to be acknowledged for maybe 5 minutes while others around me were being served and acknowledged. So once they cleared, I was still standing there. He finally looked up. I asked was he still serving, he said yes and walked away. Did not serve me. Another man walked up, he was politely asked how may I help you? I was the only African American from the start of this encounter, so of course I feel this was racially motivated. I went to customer service and reported it, but as most situations like this regarding the black community, I highly doubt anything will be done about it.

This Safeway store exhibits a degree of inconsistency in its operational aspects. There are instances when the merchandise is thoughtfully arranged, while on other occasions, the presentation falls short. The staff rotation appears to be frequent, resulting in a noticeable absence of familiar personnel, with the exception of select managerial figures. A modest investment in tidying and dusting procedures would undoubtedly contribute to an enhanced shopping experience.

Convenience is the only thing this location has going for it. The bathrooms here are closed or destroyed 100% of the time. If ththe employees use the same bathroom, then they are 100% not washing properly after usage.

Being a female u can't possibly expect me to use ur hand air blower to handle my business. Come on now. DO BETTER. I feel like I need a shower now for stepping foot into ur "restrooms "

There was this one staff in this location and she was a cash register person, she was rude, had an attitude. Also along with the Deli place, The staff members keep on yelling they can’t count correctly, when I said that I wanted 12 pieces they gave me 3, and they keep on yelling in chinese, I tell them that I don’t understand what they’re saying yet they still yell + talk in chinese.

This safeway is halfway between the spring district in Bellevue (home) and Microsoft (work). Everytime I go there are employees standing right outside the door smoking. It is so dirty and nasty, not to mention toxic and a violation of WA state law. I've complained several times but was told to use the other entrance. Employees smoking at both. So nasty. So rude. So disrespectful!

Me and my wife went to Safeway at 140th Ave Ne Bellevue .The Vietnamese old lady who works there as a cashier disrespect me and my wife just because we paid the groceries with coupons and voucher from Hopelink, she said "you got the free food yeah, every body else pay but you don't,, from her gesture we know she looking down at us and try to embrace us in front of everybody. I hope the manager will tell her that what she is doing is rude and offended the customer.

The Safeway pickup is amazing. Maribel (or mirabel not sure how to spell) is awesome and always does good substitutions! If anything ever is wrong she’s quick to fix it. Thanks guys on pick up I appreciate it! It saves a lot of time with a busy schedule!

Love love love the pharmacy! Every singe pharmacy employee is amazing, helpful, knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile. The grocery employees however are polar opposites, they are rude, extremely unhelpful and incredibly hard to find. There’s never anyone at the customer service and the cashiers refuse to call someone or help you. The pharmacy is so amazing though that I can’t dock a star. Enjoy the amazing pharmacy but get groceries elsewhere.

I have accepted that prices are crazy so I try to always shop the FRIDAY specials. Today they had sprinkle 1 layer cakes and cute carrot cakes with a carrot decor on each slice. Both for $5.00 each. I have a childcare and two little girls birthdays this coming week....so how perfect are sprinkles for little girls. I was there at 7:30 am...had a hard time finding anyone to help me so they had to call from the front of the store for 'bakery' . She said they were not sent any....(the ad says they are made 'in store').......She said I could take the carrot cakes....This carrot cake was not like the ad at all... it had no edge decor and no little carrot frosting on each slice. It had a couple of carrots in the middle. I couldn't run to another store because the daycare was opening for children in 30 minutes. Very disappointed. I bought 2 carrot cakes which the girls turned up their noses at of course. Who ever heard of carrot cake with icecream. Again, very disappointed that the special Friday ad with a lie.
I'm taking the carrot cakes back.

My neighborhood store has really gone downhill! Got some deli food then went to checkout when I noticed 1. Only 2 lanes were open and 2. Lines were halfway to the back of the store. Quick thinking....since my items were from the deli I went back there only to be told the could not check me out. There are several problems with this:
1. The PIS terminal was on and fully operational.
2. There were 3 people in the deli with little or nothing to do.
3. Item 2 is not fair to the other cashiers that have to deal with the long lines
4. I had just come from Evergreen Village Safeway, and was happily checked out in the deli (and they only had 2 people (.
This is the sign of laziness, but more importantly a poorly run store. When I asked why they would not check me out I was told "we are not allowed". Then why is the POS terminal on? I was told "only for the morning crew". Really??? I just left without any items.

Less than an hour ago we went to safeway to order 1 bouquet of white roses for a wedding. We went to the floral department and as soon as we said we wanted to order a bouquet we were told it was Mothers Day weekend and today is not the day. We are out of town and set the day in town for this. So we said ok we will take our business elsewhere. She was very rude and would not give us the time of day. We went up the street to Fred Myer where the Manager Jess was so nice and had time for our 2 minute conversation about 1 bouquet of white roses. We were able to order the wedding cake and do all our mothers day shopping which we anticipated to do at Safeway. We were turned away so quick I did not even get her name. Older Caucasian lady with short brown hair and glasses. As a former safeway employee I am very disappointed. Thank You.
